Has anyone used Mane and Tail shampoo and saw a difference in hair growth?

If so, which one did you use? Moisturizing, regular??Has anyone used Mane and Tail shampoo and saw a difference in hair growth?
No it only dries my hair out. It does that to everybody that i know who uses it

Wat can i do to add volume to my hair besides that really expensive shampoo and conditinor?

soooooo ya i really need help and ummm i really need somthing that i can do quickly in the moring so PLZ HELP!!Wat can i do to add volume to my hair besides that really expensive shampoo and conditinor?
use some root lifter on the roots of your hair this should give you volume if you dont want to use the shamppooWat can i do to add volume to my hair besides that really expensive shampoo and conditinor?
i have really thin hair and absolutely NO volume but I figured out how to make my hair really volumous(lol) here's what i do:

-if u can take a shower in the morning then definitely do that but if u can't then take a brush get it wet, and brush it through ur hair to get it wettish damp.

-next if you have mouse or a volumizing product then use that, but if you don't then thats ok

-then blow dry ur hair upside down and when its dry then put hairspray in it (not a lot but just enough to hold ur hair)

-flip it up and wal-lah, volumous hair

Hope I helped :)
Well there are sprays for volume for your hair that aren't super pricey, you can go to Target and buy Volumizing spray by Pantene Pro-V or Sunsilk. I have tried both and I liked both of them....You spray it on after you towel dried your hair. Also bow your head so your lookin at your feet while you blow dry your hair....after that you can use the ';flexible'; hairspray that pantene pro v makes....

good luck!
Bend over, with your hair hanging down in front of your face and blow dry your hair upward. That always puts volume in my hair. Then when you're done, but a lil bit of mousse or hairspray in it. Or if you have a little more time.. Tease the layer of hair underneath your top layer! thats what I do!.. Actually, I do both and my hair has lots of volume!
i have really flat hair have the same problem so after i blow dry my hair i put some velcro rollers in the top layers of my hair leave them for about 10 mins while im doing my make up .. instant volume without de effort of hangin ur head upside down

u can get the velcro rollers from any chemist/pharmacy or hair supplier

you tube also has videos of how to make ur hair more volumey.
only condition the ENDS of your hair. dont go near your roots.

right before you blow dry your hair, apply mouse to your roots and blend it in well. then turn your head upside down and blow dry your roots
use pantene volumizing shampoo , conditioner and mousse its not expensive and it gives you great amount of volume
try teasing your hair near the scalp and then add hair product (try to get kinds that dont leave your hair all sticky)
Large hot rollers give crazy body, but use the jumbo size or you'll end up with curls!
Put in some mousse, blow dry it with a big brush.

  • Using dry shampoo on straightened hair?

I have straightened my hair (it ia naturally wavy), if i use some dry shampoo on it will it go wavy again or is no water involved at all so it will just stay straight?Using dry shampoo on straightened hair?
No, your hair will definitely not go wavy, the dry shampoo is a powder that comes out it spray form so all it does is dry up the grease and make it look less greasy.

It does work and trust me I use it on my straightened hair all the time and it's fine.Using dry shampoo on straightened hair?
no it wont go wavy. i have curly/wavy hair and i have dry shampooed my straightened hair many a time and it has stayed just as straight as when i had straightened it in the morning :) X

    answer pleaseee

    It will go wavy.

How well does purple shampoo work at removing yellow and orange from hair?

Very well, TRUST me I've had my hair every color in the book.

One time it was so bad that BOZO had nothing on me.

I went into a local shop almost in tears and the lady there helped me out. She also sent me home with some of that purple stuff, (I wish I could remember the name)and it really did the job.

You might want to check with some of your local shops and find out which one works the best, but they do REALLY WORK.How well does purple shampoo work at removing yellow and orange from hair?
Not, very well I have used it myself.Didn't really make that much of a difference. You should probbaly invest in some swimmers shampoo it help with any brassiness. Put in 2 tbs. of developer in your shampoo to lift out brass from blonde colored hair. You could also try clarifying shampoo too.How well does purple shampoo work at removing yellow and orange from hair?
Purple shampoo huh.... I mean it aint die... so I assume it would clean the yellow or orange but that is pretty much it... I doubt if the color of the shampoo would change the outcome of your hair color... Shampoo is for clean up not cover up!
    I DONT KNOW
There is a product called Shimmer Lights that I buy at a beauty supply store. It does get some of the yellow/orange out but tends to add alot ash instead (gray) so if you use it only do so once or twice a week and it does build up. Used correctly and its great.
If your hair is orange it will not remove it. This is one stipulation that people have about haircolor. They think that when they put color on it removes the old color or just covers it up. It does not do this...it breaks up the color you already have. And when you color over it with something semi or demi permanent you only coat the outter hair shaft. So...being that your foundation (color of hair) is too dark, it will not brighten that blonde. You are refering to the brassiness in your locks. A purple shampoo will only BRIGHTEN what you have. You know how old ladies have gray hair but kind of yellow because they smoke? That shampoo works miracles. Or on people with blonde hair that has gotten brassy. If your hair has yellow it will only brighten. Not lighten; there is a difference. You should go to a stylist and tell them you want those tones out of your hair and they will know exactly what to do. Try the shampoo first, but usually the stuff on the market to normal people is not strong enough. Hope this helps!
It really depends on how deep the yellow or orange is.....the purple does definately counter react the yellow though. I've used it and it works pretty dang good!! KMS makes a good one!
very well but dont use it too much you could look like one of those lil old ladies walking around with blue purple pink hair switch it up use a regular shampoo between washes with the purple

I want a good, but resonably priced, shampoo that makes your hair REALLY silky and soft?

    any suggestions ??

thanksI want a good, but resonably priced, shampoo that makes your hair REALLY silky and soft?
My mom used Aussie and it dried up her hair. I want the same type of air so i use pantene pro-v silky soft shampoo and conditioner. It comes in separate bottles and both are 3.99 and you receive a generous amount.I want a good, but resonably priced, shampoo that makes your hair REALLY silky and soft?
    i'm going to sound like a cheap-o, but i don't care. :)

    herbal essences= my bff.

it makes my hair smell good ALL day long, and everyone notices! it's a godsend.

just don't use the straightening one- it makes curly hair look like a triangle.

afterwards, i use shear splendor condtioner from philiosophy. mmm.

good luck, have fun, and happy summer!
well as i always change my hair colour , and style i always seem to change my shampoo aswell , but ive went back to my old one , treseme , it really does work :-) and if you use the wax it keeps it smoother for alot longer !
    definately the pink vive pro

it works really good and after your done

it leaves your hair very silky and soft and

also helps make your hair managable
i think your hair gets used to a make and then it doesnt work so good. I have 2 different makes sunsilk and vo5 and take it in turns using them.
Rinse with cold water in the shower and when you blowdry, blast your hair with cold air.

It makes my hair really soft and silky.

    Try some Aussie.:)
well i dont have a clue where you live

but if you live in england

the boots home brand one :) really cheap and lasts for ages, leaves hair silky and soft tooo
Conditioner is what makes hair soft.
    try pantene pro-v 2-in-1 shampoo+conditioner
the best shampoos and hair products are from salons so ask your stylist don't get shampoos from drugstores though they never work
VO5 its in a red bottle im not sure ov the name.
Pantene Ice Shine is really really good
    herbal essance

    Dandruff shampoo and hair color?

I just recently had my hair dyed. Nothing new, I've been having it dyed for years now but I was wondering if dandruff shampoo hurts the hair color, as in, fading it or what not. My scalp is super dry and I need to use it.Dandruff shampoo and hair color?
Dandruff and dry scalp are two different things. Just find a shampoo for dry scalp. And alternate with a shampoo that is made to re-vamp your hair color.Dandruff shampoo and hair color?

    try pantene for colored hair

use some color care shampoo's which is available in drug stores

Which blonde shampoo is really good for blonde hair?

i have natural blonde hair and i'd like to know your opinion on what blonde shampoo's work good. Thanks!Which blonde shampoo is really good for blonde hair?
I would recommend Pantene.Which blonde shampoo is really good for blonde hair?
Pantene ProV Blonde highlights shampoo and conditioner (or summat like that)

    or try Sheer Blonde products
matrix makes a line for blondes. you can either buy the products for cool blonde or warm blonde. depends on you hair.
The McAdam one that you get in Tesco is just like the John Frieda one but cheaper and smells better.
    shine blonde by l'oreal expert
I use the John Frieda ones - and conditioners. Works for me!
any shampoo that is purple will keep your hair looking blonder and brighter longer. it has something to do with the yellow being an opposite of purple, so they offset each other. try clairol daily clarifying shampoo.

I have really oily hair and I have tried 3 or 4 different shampoo's and nothing has worked. What do I do?

I have tried pantene pro-v, head and shoulders, herbal essence, and pert plus. All with no conditioner and washing my hair twice everynight and it has been oily for a week. I am desperate.I have really oily hair and I have tried 3 or 4 different shampoo's and nothing has worked. What do I do?
you should try ic fantasia sparklelites shampoo, it makes your hair squeaky clean.I have really oily hair and I have tried 3 or 4 different shampoo's and nothing has worked. What do I do?
Use a clarifying shampoo once or twice a week, Pantene makes one, as does herbal essences. then I would suggest for the rest of the time shampooing only your scalp, and then conditioning only the lower portion of your hair if you have medium to long length hair. Conditioning is important don't forget to, your scalp may try to over compensate if you don't.
Aussie is great! Use their shampoo and conditioner and your hair will be healthy and shiny! Mine is. I is so strong with hardly any split ends. It keeps grease away too.
You need to use a daily clarifying shampoo BEFORE you wash your hair. Wash your hair ONCE a day, using the clarifying shampoo. This shampoo will remove oil %26amp; styling aid buildup.

Try Suave Daily Clarifying. It's inexpensive %26amp; works well. Pantene also makes one but costs almost $4 more. Be careful not to use a heavy conditioner. Use one that's not going to weigh your hair down.
Maybe you need a ph balancing shampoo.
just dont wash it everynight ! wash it 3 times aweak.
Herbal Esscence ';Degunkify.'; Really, this shampoo and condition system is AMAZING. It's in a green bottle, and you can get it at any Walmart, CVS, etc.

    Good luck!
Pantene is a big no-no. Head %26amp; Shoulders are good for slight to mild scalp conditions. And Herbal Essence and Pert-plus.. well I like them... but you have to have no scalp or hair issues.

Go to a salon and buy Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo AND conditioner. While your there talk to a hair stylis, ask their opinion and advice. Apply conditioner to your hair... not your head (or your scalp). The conditioners seals the hair shaft that opens during the shampooing process - by sealing the hair shaft, your hair becomes stronger and more glossy (not oily).

And keep in mind that everytime you agitate your scalp your stimulating the glangs that produce secretions in your scalp. Thus createing the oily appereance.

You need to change your shampoo habits to get your hair and scalp in better condition. Try not to shampoo everyday... it not healthy for your hair.

You can do it... be gentle and your hair will improve.
It sounds like you are taking the correct steps by trying different shampoos.

Find a shampoo with a ph balance of 4.5-5.5 In the meantime, use a Clarifying shampoo at least once a week and don't use a conditioner.

Instead buy a leave in conditioning spray. This way your hair won't feel weighed down by the heaviness of the moisturizers in your typical conditioner.

The clarifying shampoo will remove any build-up and any extra oils that your scalp may be producing.

  • Has anyone ever heard of Tail & Mane Shampoo? And does it really work on human hair to make it grow?

I want my hair to grow fast but it grows really slow. Someone said to use Tail %26amp; Mane shampoo and I was wondering if anyone has used it and if it works?Has anyone ever heard of Tail %26amp; Mane Shampoo? And does it really work on human hair to make it grow?
YES!! I used it %26amp; totally saw a difference in growth..also made my hair really soft %26amp; shiny. I also started taking prenatal vitamins %26amp; both my hair/nails went threw a huge growth spurt (yes you can take them without being pregnant)!Has anyone ever heard of Tail %26amp; Mane Shampoo? And does it really work on human hair to make it grow?
Well its for people not horses

It really works only about 2/5 times (in my experience)

But stimulating your scalp can really do wonders so when you're in the shower be sure to really message your scalp (gently)

also using too much conditioner can thin out your hair so use it moderately and try only washing your hair every other day

also, using straightening irons or curling your hair can absolutely ruin your follicles

one more! dying/bleaching your hair can make it thin prematurely and damage your follicles

    good luck!!
I buy it at my local tack shop for my horse, and it seems to make her mane %26amp; tail longer. And to whoever said it wasn't for horses: Yes, it is for horses. It was originally made for them.

What shampoo and conditioner works the best for straight, frizzy hair??

My hair is naturally straight and is very long but very frizzy. I am now using Pantene Pro-V Frizz Control, which doesn't seem to help much. I also use Redken Guts 10 mouse after washing, which helps a little, but I'm not getting the results i want. What products should I use???What shampoo and conditioner works the best for straight, frizzy hair??
Ok, I have had that problem for the longest time! The first one I tried was the pantene pro-v frizz control too. It doesn't work at all. I tried the John Frieda hair serum, but I find that it's difficult to spread through out evenly, and leaves your hair looking greasy. I've had quite a few combinations of things that have worked. What I'm using right now:

Shampoo - La Coupe Shine %26amp; Smooth (Orange bottle)

Conditioner - Sunsilk Beyond Brunette (In your case a blond enhancing conditioner.)

Glaze - John Frieda Luminous color glaze

Then after the shower - Alberto Miracle Mist

Then - I brush it straight and blow dry.

Brush - So Gelous Oval Brush (The brush itself helps to combat frizz!)

I know that seems like a lot, but it's soooo worth it. You could also just try some of the things I use, but I reccomend the miracle mist and the brush. What shampoo and conditioner works the best for straight, frizzy hair??
Kiehl's Silk Groom is a good styling cream. It conditions hair, smells good %26amp; a little goes a long way.

Another option is to rub a drop of 100% jojoba oil through your hair. It fights frizzies, adds a bit of sheen, it's 100% natural, doesn't have a smell, won't clog pores %26amp; washes out easily.

Silicone serums (e.g. Redken, John Frieda) are pretty good but do leave build up over time.

My favorite deep conditioner for keeping my hair smooth %26amp; silky is Joico K-pak conditioner.

Since I have straight hair, I use Neutrogen Anti-Residue Shampoo about once a week to remove any product build up and to prepare my hair for a deep conditioning mask.
i use garnier frucitse...the one for frizzy hair...it works well enough..but i just don't have time to examine every bottle at the store.
You could continue to use Pantene Pro-V Frizz Control, but then you could go to your local drugstore and buy John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum and it works really nicely. I use that product everyday and I have for about a year now and my hair look has been improving.
    Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine
Sunsilk Straighten Up shampoo, conditioner, and 24/7 creme work wonders!
    I like:

    Salon product: Joico- K-pak

Grocery Store: Herbal Essences - None of Your Frizziness

    Good stuff!
Herbal Essences is the best! The normal kind is really really good.
if you use straightening shampoo it takes out the frizz- even if your hair is already straight. for that, try herbal essence Dangerously Straight. also try fructis sleek and shine or the one for dry and damaged hair. both smell really good and you can pick them up at target. also, dont wash your hair EVERY day, and dont use too much conditioner.

What's the best Shampoo/Conditioner for damaged hair?

hello hydration its in a blue bottle

i would use both the conditioner and shampooWhat's the best Shampoo/Conditioner for damaged hair?
I use Herbal Essences Self-Targeting shampoo and conditioner. Pantene also works well, I've heard, but if you have coloured hair, you should avoid Pantene. Make sure that you're using a protectant on your hair for heat damage if you blow dry/straighten/curl your hair, and also use silk drops to repair your hair, most salons have them available for purchase.

Also, when you put in your conditioner, put the majority of it on your ends, and leave it in for a few minutes while you wash yourself or shave or whatever, then rinse it out right before you get out of the shower.

    Hope I helped!

-AliceWhat's the best Shampoo/Conditioner for damaged hair?
Dove Intense Therapy does wonders for damaged hair! I know from experience, it works on anything from hair that's been fried with a straightener/curler, to hair that's been intensely dried out by chlorine.
    DON'T USE PANTENE OR TRESEMME!!!!!

they seem to work well first, but then they dry out your hair and sometimes it can fall out! the reason is because it has silicone in it which clogs the pores in your hair.

    use garnier or something
Its really good to mix hydrogen peroxide with a conditioner. the hydrogen peroxide's minerals will bond and sooth the hair while the conditioner will moisturize it
earble essence.. hello hydration or long relationship workd really well.. i had really damaged hair and these helped.. also suave mosturizing or stregnthing
Definitely go with the peroxide. I had really frayed and damaged hair back when i lived in Arizona and my stylist recommended it
joico kpak is an amazing line for damaged hair. its saved my hair many many times lol
i love tresseme conditioner. shampoo of any kind doesnt really work. conditioner is always best
    INFUSIUM 23!!! GREAT STUFF!!!
Bedhead... something repair... leave it on overnight and it helps.
    Biolage

    or Dove intense therepy
    PANTENEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I recommend Giovanni or Jason
dont use pantene because it makes your hair dry and frizzy.
    Paul Mitchell.
    garnier fructis
    windex
    Pantene pro v
Pantene or Aussie. I prefer Aussie's smell:)
    Dove.
    tresemme it worked for mine
aussie works really well.. trust me :)

HAIR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER HELPP (will pick best answer!)?

My hair is shoulder length, flips up at the ends very thin/fine, and gets oily after a a day if not washed. (My face does as well. hha) anyway, what shampoo and condtioner shoudl i use to make it appear thicker and cleaner?HAIR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER HELPP (will pick best answer!)?
They're are a lot of really good volumizing shampoos out there. But I have found if it is oily hair you are having a problem. A tea tree based shampoo works great! Use the shampoo with every wash and the conditioner with every other wash. Plus they will leave a nice tingle on your scalp. you probably wont need to use much conditioner. Also keep your hands out of your hair. I don't know if you do, but a lot of people run their hands through their hair and that will also make your hair more oilly.

I don't know if you have a great clips around you but they have an awesome line of tea tree products.HAIR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER HELPP (will pick best answer!)?
i use pureology - i use clarifying everyother day or so because i frequently get greasy hair and it doesnt use sulfate so its good for you toooo.
I use Dove...everyone's hair is different, you've just got to find a conditioner and shampoo and try it out yourself.
Amplify by far is the best shampoo to use - when I put it on it works up into such a thick lather that you can actually feel it plump up your hair. I personally don't use conditioner - it makes your hair look and feel oily so I just use lightly a spray conditioner. I've tried them all and Amplify volumizing shampoo is the best.
Get a deep cleansing shampoo and for thickening I don't know :(
    garnier fructis style
SUNSILK IS THE BEST! i use it i love it! i recommend you use it. but there's different kind for different kind of hair or how u want your hair to be.
You prbably do not need to condition your hair - because conditioner just weighs it down and if it's oily - your hair doesn't need moisturizing. No maoisturizer alone aill help keep it from being weighed down and flat looking - but I also suggest something that I like %26amp; use, TRESemme Big Boost - Root Lift Spray. You spray it onto your roots and blow dry your hair with your head flipped upside down. It is a weghtless styling mist that has long lasting weightless volume to your hair!
I like Herbal Essence. They have a lot of types, like Dangerously Straight, Drama Clean, etc, so pick whatever's best for you as far as that. (For your face, try Neutrogena, or however you spell that, and Equate face cream. You can get it at Wal-Mart. It works well, too.)
    herbal essences
dove shampoo and conditioner ...and also the soap ....if u want!

but i think that is the best brand!

Do birthcontrol pills in your shampoo make your hair grow faster?

No that's not true at all. Hair grows in cycles, there's nothing you can do to slow it down or speed it up.Do birthcontrol pills in your shampoo make your hair grow faster?
i would have to say no but cat pis willDo birthcontrol pills in your shampoo make your hair grow faster?
    hahahah
If it did, then bald men would be using it.
I don't think so. Try Onions. Rub an onion into your scalp at nights for a week, see what happens!
    astonishing...

really, THAT earns an Oscar for the most stupid thing I've ever heard...
Where did you get that info. from?

Who had the audacity to tell you that?

Birthcontrol pills in shampoo do not make your hair grow at all, let alone faster!
    I'm flummoxed!
no whoever told you that was an idiot
    OMG No! Take a vitamin.
I have never heard of doing this...

No.. hair grows from within the body.. Eating and being health can contribute to healthier hair..
    WHO TOLD YOU THAT! LOL!

No seriously I am a hair dresser nothing is going to make your hair grow faster not even getting it cut once in a while will your hair is DEAD cells from your body has nothing to do what you put on it.
Neither taking birth control or applying it to the surface of your hair will make it grow fast. If you want you hair to grow, eat healthy, drink lots of water, take good care of it ( don't over process it) and maybe take a multi vitamin.
Yes and so does standing upside down while singing the ABCs. Go for it!
Absolutely, knock yourself out! How are you going to get the Dr to prescribe extra though?? Or maybe it was you Dr that suggested it.

Let us know how you get on!
WHAT?! who told you that. honey, very few products, if any at all, can make your hair grow faster.
Yes - and makes it blonder too.
... Wow... who told you that? I mean... seriously.
hi there here is a tip for you if u mix a little olive oil in your condioner it will help to grow your hair and also makes it shine
No, lol. Try prenatals, knox geletaine or b vitamins.
    haha
WTH? no but it keeps your foliciles from getting pregnant!

What shampoo and conditioner can i use to make my hair grow faster?

i really want my hair to grow faster cause now its short and i miss my long hair! What shampoo and conditioner can i use to make my hair grow faster?
Shampoo and conditioner, im not sure?

But if you use Tresemme brands, and rub aloe vera and vitamin E into your scalp it promotes hair growth.

Good luck, I want longer hair too. :)What shampoo and conditioner can i use to make my hair grow faster?
Shampoo and conditioner will not make your hair grow faster :(

However, you can buy something like Aveda's Rosemary Mint Shampoo (as long as you don't have color treated hair because it will strip the color) which will stimulate the scalp, which increases blood flow and will make for healthy hair growth (but will not necessarily make your hair grow faster).
It's not so much what you put on your hair that makes it grow faster, but what goes in you. Drink lots of water, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and maintain a healthy diet and exercise. Take some vitamin B tablets too and massage your scalp every morning for 5 minutes.
Shampoo and Conditioner, really cant help your hair to grow faster...

But Vitamins can...everyones hair is different, mine grows fast..

Vitamin E is good, but there is a vitamin, just for hair growth, at the Natural or Health Food Stores...

They have them for hair, nails etc.

    Your local pharmacy or drugstore might have them, you could check..and it will say on the bottle ';For hair';

    Hope this helps
I've been wanting to know the same thing!

So far i have heard of infusium 23 to repair hair.

Put the yolk of an egg in your hair, or even soy milk, eat seafood, drink water and eat possium concentrated foods.
i don't think there is one?

    your hair growth is natural,

your hair grows 1cm a month,

so 12 cms in a year.

although some people's hair grows fast and other's slow.
I tried a lot of shampoo coz i wanna have a long hair but no one works untli i took some Vit E and I always rub the juice of aloe vera on my scalp it really effective..
you can not put anything on your hair to make it grow its what u eat.
    http://profinast.org/?goldfusion
i dont really know. maybe pantene or fructis could work :)

try searching it up on google.com!
    none.

  • Whats the best afordable shampoo, conditioner and heat protector to use for hair?

my hair often gets naughty quickly and when i brush it a lot of hairs snap leaving me with split ends!! is there a shampoo= conditioner which will help with this or anything elese ? %26amp; one which will help my hair look healthier as well. Thank youuu !!Whats the best afordable shampoo, conditioner and heat protector to use for hair?
Ok, I don't know what's your hair type, so here goes the basic. You should wash your hair once a week with a Deep Cleansing Shampoo, then you can wash with the normal shampoo for your hair type(dry, oily, normal, fine, thick, coarse, straight, curly) the second wash and as needed(untill you feel clean), then apply a treatment mask for your hair type and need(or 1 which suits all hair types), buy the sachets, the cheap ones at the shops, they cost like 2 dollars, you might need 3 if your hair is volumous and long, Alberto VO5 is a good choice. Or just buy a tube or pot of it, its like 6Euros. Wear a plastic(shower cap, the thicker, the better) and leave for 7 minutes(follow the instructions), wash it out, apply a conditioner for your hair type, aplly a good thermal-heat protector and a tips=ends sealer, blow dry it or straighten as desired. Do this every week, your hair will thank! Also have a well balanced healthy food diet. Theres this brand at beauty supply stores, called ';ion'; and it is perfect for repair, and split ends and whatnot.

Also I find that pantene repair and breakage systems work really good.

What's a good shampoo to get curly hair straight?

    - Why not wear it naturally? Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

    - To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

    - The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

    - Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Dry it gently by scrunching with paper towels or t-shirts- not towels. Then let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser.

    - Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (salon) or Nature's gate\Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores) for your hair. I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L鈥橭real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

    - You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

    - Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

it doesnt work that way buy a hair straightener
No shampoo will straighten your hair by itself, you will also need a flat iron. Look for words such as ';smooth'; or ';straight'; on the bottles. Also, there are serums that help protect the hair from heat and damage of the straightening tools.

We had a feed store and carried things like that and sold a lot for human hair. She may need to check with a Dr, and see what is causeing it to fall out. This sure could be a physical problem.
No idea mate but ja ek is afrikaans!

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for thick straight color treated hair?

If you want to go expensive try Caviar- you have to buy it in a salon. It smells INCREDIBLE and does wonderful things for your hair. It's about $30 for each. A little less expensive is Biosilk, which also smells incredible and makes your hair very sleek and smooth. It's about $15 for each. If you're looking for something you can buy at a regular store go with SAMY...you can get it at Walgreens and it's about $6 each. I'm a serious shampoo junkie...I have tried them all! What is the best shampoo and conditioner for thick straight color treated hair?
One of the absolute best products for color treated hair is by Enjoy - it has a color lock formula that protects your color and your investment! It's a little expensive (about $15 a bottle), but it's concentrated and has a very good soap base so you only need very little. It'll last you months! Seriously! Buy in salon or beauty supply. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for thick straight color treated hair?
Joico is really good salon brand but it is a little pricey.
Mary Hunt who writes the 'Every Day Cheapskate' column and has a website claims that ';all shampoos are 80% to 90% water.'; The rest is detergent with a few drops of fragrance, additives and perservatives.'; AND ';there are two kinds of detergent: anionic (harsh) and cationic (gentle). Also, the only part of the shampoo bottle regulated by the food and drug administration is the list of ingredients. Manufacturers can make any claim they like on the unregulated portions of the label. The secret is to know your ingredients.

    *Ammonium lauryl sulfate: very harsh

    *Ammonium laureth sufate: harsh

*sodium laureth sulfate: milk, great choice

*TEA lauryl sulfate: gentle, good choice

MYTH: shampoo builds up on hair so you need to change brands occasionally to avoid this

MYTH: Salon brands of shampoo outperform inexpensive brands.

MYTH: High quality shampoo can repair damaged hair

FACT: the detergent in baby shampoo (no tears) is great for adults because it is so gentle.

Bottom Line: When purchasing shampoo consider two things: price and detergent type. With the money you save on shampoo, buy a quality conditioner. Unlike shampoo, which washes down the drain, the quality of conditioner does make a difference!
    i like ';straight sexy hair';
If you don't want to spend a lot of money, look for Suave's Salon Selectives - they are spinoffs of expensive salon shampoos. They will tell you which one is for color treated hair. I like the Nexxus Humectant spinoff.

For the best thing, get a stylist to help you pick out something at your favorite salon. I like Paul Mitchell's Awapui or Nexxus Humectant.
lets make it 3 for 3. Pantene

the people giving us negatives for pantene just want you to spend more money on the so called natural products. you can spend 3-5$ or 10-20$ and it all does the same.

dont believe the hype, trust me, i researched it.
Nexxus makes some awesome products. They're salon quality, tho now available in other stores. Humectress is the conditioner, it says to rinse but you can leave it in - I do for my thick hair. Botanoil is their shampoo and it's easy on color treated hair. They have another shampoo that's good, but can't remember the name.

I have thick, coarse hair, colored, and their products work best for me.
    i like aussie

it works great for my hair, which is just like the one in your question. :D
I think Garnier is the best for you!

    Sunsilk comes in second.

    pantenee! honestly.
Pantene has an excellent selection of hair products for all types of hair conditions and needs.

Thermasilk is also a good bet for you, especially if you use hairdryers and/or curling irons which can damage your hair.

Pantene Pro-V, Dove, or if it still exists, Thermasilk

Conditioner: Motions brand, or Paul Mitchell Super-Charged Conditioner...

If your hair can be brittle, Motions makes a good anti-breakage conditioner. These are for deep conditioning--apply, put a plastic cap over the hair, and then sit under the hot hood dryer for 15 mins. followed by 5 mins on the cool setting. If you don't have a hood dryer, put the cap on and take a 15-min. long hot, steamy shower. And then rinse the conditioner out thoroughly.

Is Tresemme shampoo and conditioner bad for your hair?

Does it damage it or is it really salon quality? Is Tresemme shampoo and conditioner bad for your hair?
Its actually good for your hair. it has tons of vitamins. It is the only thing that can soften and de frizz my curly locks. My stylist told me if going for a store brand Tresemme is the best way to go!!!!!!!!!Is Tresemme shampoo and conditioner bad for your hair?
I have 4 girls in the house all with long hair we use it all the time and love it
    No, it's really good.
No, its good stuff. My cousin, she works for a Paul Mitchell salon and she says it good to use. My former co-worker used it on her hair and she had beautiful long hair. I've tried it, i like it.
no its good but pantene is really bad for ur hair tho ( =
My husband swears by it, won't use anything else. He, of course, has very thick hair which seems to grow overnight. Me, I swear by Pantene. But no, it's never damaged his hair. I don't know about salon quality. I mean Suave conditioner works great for me and I love the Ocean Breeze scent. Can't tell you how many people have asked what I used because my hair smells so fantastic.
    I think it works wonders!
Personally, I think that is just cheap, glorified, shampoo. I used and it made my hair feel like straw

I use that shampoo for blondes (John Frieda) but they have some for brunettes too--that works really well. It might be a little expensive but they have cheap versions too from Suave.

U need to get garnier fruitis color treated hair shampoo.

it comes in a green bottle.

u can get it at like rite aid or target any place that sells shampoo.

it keeps the color in ur hair and leaves your hair so soft.

i use it and i never want to go back to any other shampoo again!!!

    u can get tresemme conditioner.

    that works good too.

They both smell great and r great for ur hair!

Whats the best shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair ?
ask your hair salon what is best for your type of hair that you can buy as a discount store like walmart. they will tell you.

Unfortunately, what works for one person's hair is not right for others.

texture, length, strength, how you manage your hair (blow dry/iron/ environment) all effect what would be best for you. So where ever you get ur hair trimmed, then ask them...they don't charge for advice.
shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair.duh.

oh yeaah and dont wash your hair alot.

your not suppose to in the first place.
John Frieda Radiant Red, it runs about $5-6 at Target.

If you use shampoo long enough, can your hair become immune to it?

I love pantene pro-v, but my roommate recently informed me that if you use it for more than about 6 months, your hair doesn't respond to it at all. Is that true?If you use shampoo long enough, can your hair become immune to it?
I like to change my shampoo every time I buy a new one as I get sick of using the same one all the time and anyway no shampoo ever seems to give me volume like the bottle says, it only seems to weigh it down and make it look greasy. If you use shampoo long enough, can your hair become immune to it?
In a sense, yes. If you wash your hair really often, your skin will produce more oil to replace the oil you have stripped out of it.

Also, many find that if they switch shampoos periodically, or if they use a clarifying shampoo for a couple of weeks then go back to their old one, it works better.
Rotate your shampoo around a bit. Some are more harsh and harder on hair some not. Everything in moderation ya know!!
I have heard the experts say you should change shampoos for a 6 week peroid, just like anything else, switcheru!!!
no because its not a toxin or anything. It does't go in your body or anything. So no. And your friend has a weird mind.
I don't suppose hair can be ';immune'; but product build up on your scalp can make the appearance of hair look oily, and become oilier frequently. There are products which cleanse the scalp of overused products and restores it to its naturally state.

    Its hardly noticable :]

What Shampoo is the best for really dmaged hair?

I died my hair A lot.

and now it is kind off falling out, little by little, and i want it back to my healthy thick hair so it would not fall out anymore/?I was wondering what is the best Shampoo out there for damaged hair? or conditioner? What Shampoo is the best for really dmaged hair?
I really like Pantene and it seems to work well cause i also dye my hair and its very dry, try the one or damaged hair/ split ends. If I were you try doing a mask like 2 times a week for starters and then once a week once you see it healthier what i do is I use olive oil and pass it through my hair (not too much on scalp)and then i wrap it in a plastic bag at the top of my head cause the plastic bags speeds up the heating process and only needs to be left in like 20 -30 min and then wash hair properly shampooing 2 times to get all the oil out.

hope I helped..What Shampoo is the best for really dmaged hair?
Gueye the one that smells minty
well i would suggest the 2 in 1 buy sebastian products. my hair was fallin out due to overprocessing and after one use my hair stopped falling out. they sell some of their professional products in target walmart
    olay but im not positive
I thinks olive oil by regis is very good for damaged hair. I color my every month and since I have started to use this shampoo, my hair seems fullur and healthier. I hope it works for you too. good luck
    Wella for dry/damaged hair.

    It's the best shampoo ever!

I've tried an endless number of other brands and never found any which is as good.
Ken Paves Flawless Shine shampoo - get at Walgreen's - it's sulfate-free and is really great for dry hair. I'm not a fan of the conditioner, though, I think it's way too heavy.

Is Pantene Pro-V a good shampoo, or does it damage hair?

I've heard many things about Pantene Pro-V. Many say it's a great shampoo, while others say that it's great for a while but it damages your hair. Please give your opinion and your hair type.Is Pantene Pro-V a good shampoo, or does it damage hair?
it's a great shampoo :) i don't use it long-term though, i alternate a lot. but the times when i do use pantene pro-v i really love it! makes my hair soft %26amp; straight. i'm asian and have thick hair. if you've never tried it i highly recommend it :)Is Pantene Pro-V a good shampoo, or does it damage hair?
ive used it before. it works well. especially with all their different product lines. However i do not know whether or not it damages after a while cause i didn't use it for a long time. I switch product lines every time i need a new bottle. i find this is healthier.

my hair has loose curls and is easy to manage.
its does not damage the hair but it does coat it with harsh waxes on the cuticle of the hair which gives it the appearance of shiny healthy hair but really its not.. in the long run it will make your hair feel coarse and rough because of the wax coating which sux!
the difference between pantene and other shampoos is that it coats your hair. it never fully rinses out. its fine to use, but make sure you switch shampoos regularly regardless of the brand to get rid of build up.
Pantene f-cked my hair up so bad! I swear that's the worst line of products I've ever used. I have really thick hair too and it left it dry and damaged it.
    -_- no shampoo damages hair.

if yur usin it without conditioner

    MAYBE yu needa buy both?

thats kinda why they make the conitioner(:
    I have fine hair, long.

I hated Pantene products...actually made my hair fall out.
I heard its the most damaging shampoo on the market.
    I think you're a little too cautious.
i have curly hair and its long.

i think its pretty good, keeps your hair healthy and smells good :)
it seems to work fine on me !

Whenever I wash or shampoo my hair it goes frizzy and horrible, why is this??!?

I have quite thick hair and it's surprisingly quite controlled but whenever i wash my hair it goes huge and frizzy! My friends say comb it when its wet but that seems to make it worse! Please help!Whenever I wash or shampoo my hair it goes frizzy and horrible, why is this??!?
If you wash it more then once a day then it will get frizzy.Only wash and condition it in the morning or at night. And then for it to dry try putting a cotton t-shirt or paper towels to stop the frizz.Whenever I wash or shampoo my hair it goes frizzy and horrible, why is this??!?
I suggest that u buy natural organic hair products. They make ur hair feel natural and makes it look good. The hair wont frizz up or go huge becasue u are using something that is 100% sulfate free which sulfate caused ur hair to go bad. After u wash ur hair make sure its dry and then brush it..those are my reccomidations...good luck!
only wash your hair once a week and invest in a dry shampoo so your hair doesnt get oily between washes. also, get a straitener that you use while your hair is stil wet. one that i like is wet to set. it will smooth out your hair really nicely.
your hair is dryed out! USE ALL MOISTURIZING PRODUCTS, DON'T USE HEAT STYLING, NO HAIR DYES MA'AM!
my hair has that problem. I found that after shampooing, use a deep conditioner. let it sit on your head for a few minutes, then rinse completely. when you get out, use a wide- toothed comb to GENTLY brush out and tangles (there won't be many since you conditioned). also, while it's wet, try applying a straightening balm, or conditioning mousse, or dove anti-frizz in your hair, let air dry- do not blow dry. if absolutely necessary, blow dry on low on cool.
i couldnt tell you why it is, most likely tho that it is just your hair type. try buying frizz ease products or similar to control the frizz

Can a specific type of Selsun Blue Shampoo cause hair loss?

The active ingredient is supposed to impede yeast growth that causes scalp infections. Possible side-effects include ';skin irritation, dry skin, oily or dry hair/scalp, or temporary hair loss';, but I don't know if it's tied to a specific type of Selsun Blue. It depends on if you're somehow allergic to its active ingredient or if that ingredient somehow interacts with other medications that you may be taking.

I don't know if you can get Selsun Blue over the counter, but it used to be prescribed by a doctor. In either case, you should talk with your doctor if you're worried about such side effects.

Can a placenta shampoo help to grow my hair?

eww where does this placenta come from? just take some vitamin e that will make your hair grow...Can a placenta shampoo help to grow my hair?
no. placenta has protein in it, which is supposed to strengthen your existing hair. it will not make your hair grow, though. Can a placenta shampoo help to grow my hair?
placenta has a lot of protein in it which will help to strengthen your hair. it does not technically make the hair grow, but it can strengthen the hair so it does not break off as much and allow it to grow longer.
Try apple cider vinegar mixed with water. About 2 tbls. morning and night. Look up on the websites for this miracle. It will grow your hair really fast. Has over 93 minerals and vitamins for your hair I have thrown my old multivitamins away and just use ACV. Makes nails grow too! My nails are really long and hard.
    How...disgusting.

    It's just not right in any form or fashion. Placenta for hair shampoo. It's only for fetuses not to make your hair ';pretty.';

Why would anyone think of such a gross thing?
I use leave in placenta conditioner and it makes my hair stronger and gives it a very glossy shine. What will help your hair to grow is taking Vitamin E pills.
i THiNK iT DOES!!i 'VE HEARD PEOPLE SAYiNG iTS GOOD %26amp;%26amp; RECOMENDiNG iT
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE GROWING PART, BUT I USED TO HAVE REALLY DAMAGED HAIR FROM CHEMICAL PERMS THAT NEVER TOOK AND I USED (ALTERNATED) PLACENTA SERUM ONCE WEEKLY ALONG WITH THAT INFUSIUM FOR DAMAGED HAIR DAILY. I USED BOTH THE SHAMPOO AND THE CONDITIONER. IT HELPED A LOT.
    ';eww where does this placenta come from?';

    Aborted fetuses.

    The shampoo is very expensive.
No! Your hair is not technically living after it is past the scalp nothing you put ON your hair will make it grow faster, slower, etc. It may make it feel better. I recommend vitamin E or -a good one a day vitamin for skin hair and nails is prenatal vitamins for any child bearing aged woman.
idk but the name just makes me laugh altho ive seen it at the 99 cent store beforee.

a great cheap shampoo is the herbal essences brand and they have one for colored hair. also, garnier fructis makes a great 3 minute hydrating mask for your hair that works wonders! it comes in a green tub, and will last you like a week. i always use the mask for the first 5 days after a highlight and then switch back to my herbal essences.

Redken is a good brand. as a stylist, i typically recommend and use only professional products. that said, i have some clients who swear by the Dove line at the drugstore. it doesn't coat the hair like Pantene, and seems to do a good job for the money.
i love redkin too! but it is a little expensive....i would suggest using sunsilk, its on sale a lot, and your hair really feels very soft and healthy. or herbal essences, i hear a lot of good stuff about that shampoo. also tresseme is pretty good too and smells good

but here are the BAD shampoo to avoid:

Prell- my hair came all knotty and tangled

Samys-my hair was really stiff and looked oily

Mane and Tail(or something like that)- its designed for humans and horses and ewww just like prell

if you want to talk about shampoo, my im is berrybeauty11

    hope i helped!
I am a hairstylist for 16 years now and work at a very large day spa. My suggestion is to got to a place like trade secretss if you can't afford from a salon. You must understand how to use the product as well . using to much at a time is a waste although most clients will do this. brands I suggets are joico, biolage, and especially kenra. Kenra is an excellent product line that does what it says it does and is fairly inexpensive compared to most salons. the products yopu buy in the drug store use a detergent base to clean your hair and types of waxes to make it feel like it has been conditioned- look up the ingredients and you will see that most of themn are no good. A salon product will last longer and give you long term benifit. because they do not put a buildup on your hair you will find no need to frequently change them. If you need some more advice you can email me back

    merry christmas
I would like to refer you to a website I frequent: Longhaircommunity.com. You will find all sorts of advice about hair, conditioners, even make-at-home recipes that work just as well as the expensive stuff, or better.
What kind of hair do you have?
I don't like redken. I think they all leave my hair dry. I really like the dove line of shampoos, conditioners, and styling products. Those new ';Hairapy'; kinds are great, too.
    ask your stylist
    I like Thermasilk %26amp; Pantene
    tresseme [spelling?]
I personally like Kenra products, but they are pricey. For everyday shampooing, etc. I keep Suave products in the showers for everyone. No complaints, hair is just fine. They even have a clarifying shampoo which we always take to the pool or ocean to help clean all the residue out. It is usually available everywhere. Dollar Stores are a good place to buy it, as it is often less an $1.00 a bottle.
I really don't know what to tell you since I don't know the type of your hair. But Head%26amp;Shoulders is good enough for me, you can find one to every hair type, and it is cheap and lasts for a long time.

    Good Luck!!
Aussie shampoo and conditioner, brilliant stuff
I have a sam's club card, and I believe that they tend to carry the same kind of products, when it comes to this kinda thing. They have Biosilk in the huge bottles(can't find them at any ol'store) and for only around $11.00 each. At a regular salon, etc., the small bottles run about 4x's that much. It works great and smells awesome, too. I am not sure if they carry the absolute nessecity for hair care by Biosilk, which is called Biosilk SilkTherapy--it is a must have, and will repair hair and skin, too! If you see it, get it, one small bottle should last at least 6months+. good luck!! ( if you know anyone with a membership card, they can get you in, or you can ask for a one day tryout at front desk, and that will always let you shop inside.)
i like some of the sami and sebastian products. too steap...try got2b. they have some really good products for all hair types and styles and don't cost as much.
personally i like biolage, but i dont know if cosco carries it... i havent been there since i lived in jersey... i dont really care for other brands....
depends on your hair type, I like to use tresemme

Need a good shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair?

Generally i use the sunsilk and its pretty good, judt wonderin if anyone knows/advises any better onesNeed a good shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair?
John Frieda's Sheer Blonde highlight activating Shampoo %26amp; Cont. I get the Honey to Carmel ....I must say { I LOVE IT ! } Really beautiful natural highlights like golden treads...Hope this helps ya! TY %26lt;:3 }~Need a good shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair?
pantene works for everyone i know, but i hear john frieda is good too
pantene and fructis contain silicone which makes hair soft and shiny, but after a while it also dulls the hair and builds up residue. ive got blonde hair and use herbal essence plus it smells fab too!!
fructis is crap on blonde hair, don't use that it will ruin your hair. I use VO5 blonde range %26amp; avons blonde range. I find if you swap shampoo my hair stays in excellent condition. I have bout three shampoos on the go at once! people have always been jealous of my hair cos its so luscious!have fun experimenting!!!!
I really like the Timotei with camomile range. And sheer blonde stuff is fab too.
John Frieda for blonde hair is excellent. It's a little more pricey, but lasts ages and really gives my hair a lovely shine.
    pantene is good.
pantene edition for blonde hair. it is a shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment.
Blondissima (by L'Oreal Vive) products are good.

But I much prefer the Pantene ProV for Brilliant Blondes. They have shampoo and conditioner, as well as a 3 minute conditioner that are excellent.
Frederick Fekkai Baby Blonde (you can buy it in Space NK and Harvey Nics) - the creme de la creme - it doesn't contain any nasty alchohol or silicone which other brands like Pantene use.
garnier is the best on the market!
Use Bed Head Moisture Maniac or go to Sally's and find a good shampoo and conditioner that helps keep the hair hydrated and smooth.
i love and use garnier it the best try sleek n shine
Redken brand at a salon. We use the All Soft one of that brand. It leaves your hair very clean yet conditioned and shiney. It seems to work on all kinds of hair. But there are other kinds of Redken too. There's one for dyed hair and one for long hair. Try them and see which one is right for you.
Yes, be very careful- if you use shampoo for brown hair, you will go bald.
    fructis
I think pantene pro v is one of the best n it has been tested and proven to be the only over the counter shampoo that helps not fixes and protects your hair .

What kind of shampoo can i use to wash off temporary hair color faster??

I have some greenish turqouise in the front of my hair. I dont want it anymore. I want it back to blonde. Some of it is fading. But now its uneven! I dont really like it any more! lolWhat kind of shampoo can i use to wash off temporary hair color faster??
Mix in baking soda and vinegar with your shampoo. The abrasion and acid from both will help the fading. Also, use a Tea shampoo or something that says ';Clarifying'; on the bottle, this will help! Cheap shampoos that dry your hair out will actually become useful in this process. They will strip the hair of color. What kind of shampoo can i use to wash off temporary hair color faster??
find a shampoo that says ';Citric acid'; On the ingerdients, Citric acid is a natural acid from citris furits that when used in shampoo is used to have a deeper cleaning effect, or help strip out colors in your hair.

Does anyone have a problem with your hair coming out because of Panteen shampoo & conditioner?

I have long hair and have been using Panteen shampoo %26amp; conditioner for years. Someone told me that a lot of hair falls out when they use Panteen. I just wonder if my normal hair loss from brushing and such is the result of using Panteen. Has anyone ever had this problem using Panteen?Does anyone have a problem with your hair coming out because of Panteen shampoo %26amp; conditioner?
You should try a new shampoo and conditioner!!

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get organix at Target, Kroger, Safeway, Duane Reade, Albertsons, etc. You'll love it!!!

    http://organixhair.com/

.Does anyone have a problem with your hair coming out because of Panteen shampoo %26amp; conditioner?
if hair is coming out this could be a hormone problem which should be checked with the doctor. panteen contains silicone which make make your hair shine but you can also have be allergic to it
Shockingly I have not heard this, but I use pantene and I notice loss of hair through the brush and sinks. I would love to know if this is true. I will change immediately.
hmm...no and I use different shampoos sometimes and not just Pantene all the time so I guess kind of?
i use panteen right now, i just swiched from another shampoo and conditioner. and my hair has been falling out more than usual while in the shower then when i used the other brand. i dont know what it is. i have medium lenght hair. you are suppose to lose around 15-20 hairs a day, no matter what shampoo it is.

i would change brands for a little bit, and see if your hair still falls out. if it still falls out in big amounts you could have something else wrong with you, and might need to go to the doctor.

also if you don't recieve enough calories in a day your hair will fall out because there isn't enough nutrients to supply to your whole body and hair. so the nutrients go for the important parts of your body first.

    courtney
I have used pantene for years also. I love the way it makes my hair feel and look. However in the last 6-8 months my hair is breaking and falling out. (I always shed some) but this is extreme. I do not believe it is pantenes fault. I did switch to treseme anti breakage (it smells bad) but it works.

breaking and falling out has lessened.

I have always had to keep a second brand of shampoo and conditioner because after a month or so the regular one would not work as well. so I would always switch for a week then switch back.
i also have long hair and have used pantene for a long time now. i found that it makes my hair softer silkier and just prettier. I have never had that problem. are you using any other hair products that could cause that problem? anyway good luck with your hair
Come to think of it, yes! I had that problem, too, but I did not realize it until just now. I have been using a different shampoo and conditioner for quite a while and I don't have that problem anymore.

I wonder if it's the wax in Pantene that cause hair loss.
I also have long hair and have been using Pantene for many years. I do lose some hair while shampooing and brushing, but it's not enough to worry about. I read once that it is typical to lose about 100 strands each day, so the hair loss that you're seeing might be normal. Also, if you're really concerned about your use of Pantene, switch your shampoo from time to time. It is good practice to change shampoo brands a few times a year and use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of product buildup at least once a week.
I have never had any problem with it, and I go back and forth to different brands.

A hairdresser told me that the main reason for hair falling out is stress. However, it falls out once the stress is over - so you don't usually associate hair falling out with something thats going on in your life.
holy **** I I didn't think about that until now.....Good question I think it has raised an eyebrow for a few of us

How long does it take to replenish thinning hair with thickening shampoo?

shampoo will never make hair thickerHow long does it take to replenish thinning hair with thickening shampoo?
If you are really loosing hair, chances are hair thickening shampoos are not the solution for your hair problems. If you do suffer from hair loss or thinning hair, then the shampoo hair loss products may work as a solution for you. Most of these products, as well as helping to keep the scalp clean in the same way as a regular shampoo (providing you rinse away the residue), also contain a number of ingredients. These could either be drugs or vitamins in the case, such vitamins found in hair loss shampoo are mainly proteins. How long does it take to replenish thinning hair with thickening shampoo?
Thickening shampoo does not make your head grow thick hair. It temporarily expand your thinning hair strands which makes your hair appear thicker. There are also volumizing gels etc out there that you could use.
read the botle or ask the solon on that brand

  • What is a good shampoo and conditioner for dry damaged hair?

MY hair was very dark and I went back to blond and it was very hard on my hair. I agree to use a deep conditioner or a treatment like K-pak or Kerastase from the salon. But the best results I got for everyday are from Paul Mitchell Strength. After using those for a while my hair was great and shiniy and strong despite the bleaching. Now I use Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship with similar results. What is a good shampoo and conditioner for dry damaged hair?

What is the best shampoo+conditioner to make/help your hair grow longer?

I love Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths. I'm sure it would work for you. Also remember to not fuss with your hair too much, and trim the dead ends. What is the best shampoo+conditioner to make/help your hair grow longer?
Once hair leaves the follicle it is dead so no shampoo or conditioner can help it grow longer. In can only improve the condition of the hair. Eating lots of fruit, veg, dairy and nuts can help hair grow quicker and in better condition, or there are vitamin supplements from the chemist that aim to do this. Also, massaging your head whilst shampooing is said to increase blood flow to the scalp which stimulates hair to grow, so you could see if there's any truth in that! :)What is the best shampoo+conditioner to make/help your hair grow longer?
    1. get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks

    2. use good shampoo and conditioner (from a salon, tresemme is also really good)

3.hair skin and nail vitamins (walmart $5)

    4. ALWAYS use a heat product when using heat styling products

    5. if your hair is dry use a deep conditioner

    6. dont wash your hair every day, it strips the natural oils out (3-4 times a week)

**the healthier your hair is the faster it will grow**
Do you mean longer as in quicker or longer as in stronger?

Truth is darling that hair has a set growth pattern different to each individual and the only times it does increase or differ is when in women for example is when we're pregnant.

Some people do believe that kelp seed tablets can help with making hair grow faster yet that the effects only last for a few months before ending. Other people say that mane 'n tail horse shampoo makes hair thicker, longer and stronger.

To be honest; I believe a good diet, minimal heat applied to the hair strands, no bleaching/dying/colouring and minimal brushing will help achieve that 'virgin hair' state and allow it to grow longer and healthy.

pantene would help, but they're really bad cause they put wax in their products which is sick, but anywayz i would try to get a natural brand(kiss my face, nature's gate, burts bee's) so they wouldn't harm you hair..... good luck
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hair
    pantene pro-v shampoo and conditioner
Mix curd and egg then apply it on your hair (sepcially in roots).
    Emma!u need 2 oil ur hair b4 shampooing.since i stay in india n v hve vry long hair...so,my advice wld b da best.okkkkkkkkkk.
