Most brands of shampoos have special shampoos for permed or/and thinning hair. Look for 'for permed hair' written on the label of any good brand shampoo.
I've had trouble finding it lately but it is in a green bottle (a tad expensive) and the brand is called ';Thicker Fuller Hair'; -- seriously, that's the name of it.....I have thin hair and have used it -- great conditioning and all.

it's actually the sulfates in those that are really bad for your hair. Try switching to organic hair care products, they have less chemicals and are better for your hair. I use giovanni or burts bees. giovanni is my favorite though :)

Heated styling tools and the SUN fade colors out badly. I have sold this HEMPZ product to all my color customers and I would have to honestly say that 75% of them have come back for more and I have noticed a dramatic change in their hair on the next color service, not only from less fadage but hair seems more healthy too. I've been natural for 6+ years with healthy, thick, tightly coiled hair, and I have used Suave humectant shampoo and conditioner since becoming natural. It is cheap and does the job.
I've been searching for some without all the SLS and ';cones'; in it because I want to see if there is really a difference, so now I'm using Burt's Bees, found at Target or health food store, and although it doesn't suds as much, I am LOVING them. My hair is clean without the squeaky feel.
I'll continue to use my Suave to clarify though! I love my Suave!

Its still kind of thin but my curls help give it volume. If your hair is naturally straight/lanky/thin then consider a curling iron if you want it to look full for a special occasion. Also get a hair cut to get rid of the split ends!
Advanced Techniques Body Building shampoo and conditioner is great for fine thin hair. It will also moisturize your hair so it won't be so dry. You should get your split ends cut to get the best results. Hope this helps!

Try Kanebo XD Shampoo, it's a bit expensive, but it's really great. It also helps against hair-loss, so you will get thicker hair after a while. It's the only shampoo that I use.

I don't think any product works as well as just blow drying your hair with a round brush focusing a lot of heat on the root and maybe back-combing. Maybe then you would only have to use either your shampoo or perhaps the hairspray- I haven't used this exact product but I've had good results from other shockwaves products.

Try Kanebo XD Shampoo, it's a bit expensive, but it's really great. It also helps against hair-loss, so you will get thicker hair after a while. It's the only shampoo that I use.

I don't think any product works as well as just blow drying your hair with a round brush focusing a lot of heat on the root and maybe back-combing. Maybe then you would only have to use either your shampoo or perhaps the hairspray- I haven't used this exact product but I've had good results from other shockwaves products.

I use it, and its great, beautiful smelling, and moisturing!! a trick for you might be to wash your hair once in the morning and once at night. Make sure that you are fully massaging the shampoo into your hair in order to clean the roots of your hair, where most of the oil comes from! Now, to start all this, i would go and get a fresh new haircut! They will blow it dry for you and such, and give your hair a nice clean look. -Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner like herbal essences '; hello hydration '; ( blue container with green cap ) shampoo and conditioner , you can get it at wal - mart , shoppers drug mart . pretty much anywhere.
- Towel dry your hair so that it isn't dripping wet but still wet , then put '; got 2 b crazy sleek hot iron smoothing serum '; through your hair with your fingers ( yellow triangle like bottle , spray bottle pink cap . available at walmart , shoppers , anywhere .)
- Spray '; got 2 b shine spray on your hair , only like a spray on each side then put your head upside down and spray once underneath ( clear bottle , pink cap ( like the kind you get on body sprays ) available at wal mart , shoppers , anywhere . )
- Blow dry your hair almost totally dry
- Spray one spray of the '; got 2 b shine spray '; above the top of your head so that it mists over your whole head .
- Straighten your hair however you like it
- Spray '; herbal essences dangerously straight hairspray '; into your hands then run it through your hair with your fingers
p.s. when putting the smoothing serum in , make sure you only use a few squirts and make sure its not all in one spot .
p.s.s. when spraying the shine spray , spray away from your hair so that it just mists over the spot ... DO NOT GO CLOSE UP! it'll make your hair look greasy , try not to over top the amount i told you to use or else you'll have greasy looking hair .
p.s.s.s . make sure to get your hair trimmed at least once every 2 months .

You can probably skip the shampoo at least every other day - just ';shampoo'; with conditioner. Massage your scalp and hair with the conditioner, then rinse and style. It freshens your hair but keeps it from getting too dry from overuse of shampoo, and you can style it the way you'd like to every morning. This is particularly good for hair that's naturally curly, I got this from the book ';Curly Girl'; which I highly recommend to those with curly hair. I found I could go a couple of weeks before I really needed to use shampoo if I did a daily hair and scalp massage with conditioner - you can experiment on your hair. Hmm..you do that every day? Ok I have some tips for you!
Try hair vitamins from the pharmacy/online called ';biotin'; or ';hair skin and nails';.
Use a natural bristle brush, not a plastic one- they can damage your hair and tug it out.
Use a heat protection spray before straightening.
When you blow dry it, blow dry from wet to damp and let it dry naturally or if youre in a rush, blow dry from wet to dry but no MORE. Stop when it's dry and don't keep drying. Heat is damaging to hair even from hairdryers.
Use a moisturising shampoo if your hair becomes dry.
Use hot oil if youre worried your hair is becoming damaged. These come in little tubes and are really really good for hair repair.

Well try not washing your hair for 2-3days so you reduce the use of heat on your hair. And also use a deep conditioner on your hair once a week. Also use a heat protectant spray. But ultimately the best thing to do is reduce heat damage period.

- Towel dry your hair so that it isn't dripping wet but still wet , then put '; got 2 b crazy sleek hot iron smoothing serum '; through your hair with your fingers ( yellow triangle like bottle , spray bottle pink cap . available at walmart , shoppers , anywhere .)
- Spray '; got 2 b shine spray on your hair , only like a spray on each side then put your head upside down and spray once underneath ( clear bottle , pink cap ( like the kind you get on body sprays ) available at wal mart , shoppers , anywhere . )
- Blow dry your hair almost totally dry
- Spray one spray of the '; got 2 b shine spray '; above the top of your head so that it mists over your whole head .
- Straighten your hair however you like it
- Spray '; herbal essences dangerously straight hairspray '; into your hands then run it through your hair with your fingers
p.s. when putting the smoothing serum in , make sure you only use a few squirts and make sure its not all in one spot .
p.s.s. when spraying the shine spray , spray away from your hair so that it just mists over the spot ... DO NOT GO CLOSE UP! it'll make your hair look greasy , try not to over top the amount i told you to use or else you'll have greasy looking hair .

You can probably skip the shampoo at least every other day - just ';shampoo'; with conditioner. Massage your scalp and hair with the conditioner, then rinse and style. Try hair vitamins from the pharmacy/online called ';biotin'; or ';hair skin and nails';.
Use a natural bristle brush, not a plastic one- they can damage your hair and tug it out.
Use a heat protection spray before straightening.
When you blow dry it, blow dry from wet to damp and let it dry naturally or if youre in a rush, blow dry from wet to dry but no MORE. Stop when it's dry and don't keep drying. Heat is damaging to hair even from hairdryers.
Use a moisturising shampoo if your hair becomes dry.
Use hot oil if youre worried your hair is becoming damaged. These come in little tubes and are really really good for hair repair.

Well try not washing your hair for 2-3days so you reduce the use of heat on your hair. And also use a deep conditioner on your hair once a week. Also use a heat protectant spray. But ultimately the best thing to do is reduce heat damage period.

Some shampoos do tent to lather differently depending on your hair type. It can depend on how clean your hair is, if its very clean it will lather as not mich of the shampoo needs to be used, this produces lather. If you dont wash your hair every day and its gatherd more dirt, pollution from the air you will find it will not lather as much as most of the shampoo is being needed to clean the hair and scalp. It may be your hair, is your hair a tid oily or greasy ? If so on of these may be your probelm. With good hair and a good shampoo it wont be long before it lathers again.
Dont worry if your a teen, this hair will not last for too long x

that happens to me when I wash my hair at night. doing so in the morning and drying it usually helps because you're not tossing and turning on it while you're sleeping. if that's not an option rub baking soda in your hair real well in the morning or add some to your shampoo at night. it may be a product build up in your hair.

dont buy cheap ones get them from a salon
if they are blonde highlights get one for specific blonde hair because this will counteract the colour and stop the brassiness look.

Today does not feel like my hair is as straight and shiny today. hands down no matter what relaxer you use Motions is the best shampoo. Aphogee is the best conditioner and using the Aphogee 2 step protein treatment once every few months is required for relaxed or natural hair. Aphogee is expensive and so is the Motions but your hair will thank you by thriving!

anyways back to your question, mane 'n tail products usually contain protein. Now protein is essential to the hair, this helps the hair to grow stronger and longer because less breakage/damage takes place. But i must warn you, I would perhaps use another shampoo that is moisture based when using the mane 'n tail, meaning alternating between a good moisturizing shampoo one week and the mane 'n tail (protein based) the other week. OR, you could use the mane n tail and after your wash deep condtion with a good moisturizing conditioner for 30-60 mins. This is because if your hair has too much protein ( a.k.a protein overload ) your hair will become hard, dry, mushy and begin to break. If your hair is already healthy and not breaking off you don't need extra protein. It is important to balance protein and moisture in your hair..

anyways back to your question, mane 'n tail products usually contain protein. Now protein is essential to the hair, this helps the hair to grow stronger and longer because less breakage/damage takes place. But i must warn you, I would perhaps use another shampoo that is moisture based when using the mane 'n tail, meaning alternating between a good moisturizing shampoo one week and the mane 'n tail (protein based) the other week. OR, you could use the mane n tail and after your wash deep condtion with a good moisturizing conditioner for 30-60 mins. This is because if your hair has too much protein ( a.k.a protein overload ) your hair will become hard, dry, mushy and begin to break. If your hair is already healthy and not breaking off you don't need extra protein. It is important to balance protein and moisture in your hair..

Don't listen too your friend, horse shampoos are for horses, not people. Well, if it's thick i suggest getting it thinned out by a hair stylist so that way it's easier to style and will grow faster. For growing your hair very lond, i like Long Term Relationship by herbal essences. Use the shampoo and conditioner, as well as the leave inconditioner. Make sure you don't hair any broken hairs or split ends. Don't style it with heat too much, and make sure it stays moisturized, especially if you live in a colder, dryer place.

I have found the Dove line to be fantastic. They have made my hair so much better. Tons of moisturizers but not too heavy. Really good prices too.
I use Pantene Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner and I absolutely love it! I have very long hair and it make my hair smell great and feels nice!
