What is the best shampoo to use for permed hair? I have very fine, thinning hair.?

It really doesn't matter the brand of shampoo, its the conditioner, you need a deep hydrating conditioner, but I would recommend that you buy a product from sally's called ';bone marrow'; its not a conditioner, but you apply it in between the shampoo and conditioner, and it builds your hair up. My hair stylist recommended it to me, and it works wonders. What is the best shampoo to use for permed hair? I have very fine, thinning hair.?

What is the best shampoo to use for permed hair? I have very fine, thinning hair.?
Most brands of shampoos have special shampoos for permed or/and thinning hair. Look for 'for permed hair' written on the label of any good brand shampoo.
I've had trouble finding it lately but it is in a green bottle (a tad expensive) and the brand is called ';Thicker Fuller Hair'; -- seriously, that's the name of it.....I have thin hair and have used it -- great conditioning and all.
My wife told me that Aveda works great.
baby shampoo
So you have very fine thin hair???

(it cant be thinning because youre a girl and your not eighty or ninety) and that means you have to get a Perm???

Ewwwwwww
i have permed hair and used to use this herbalesences perm shampoo but i stopped and now i just use whateverr i want and my curls are perfect, and i used to have thick pin straight hair and its still curly w.o special shampoo

What is the Victoria Secret So Sexy Shampoo and Conditioner like on African American hair?

I currently been thinking about trying a new shampoo and conditioner. The first name brand I've came across is VS So Sexy Shampoo and Conditioner. Does it work? What are the pros and cons? What is the Victoria Secret So Sexy Shampoo and Conditioner like on African American hair?
I really liked it as a whole. The smell was nice and the conditioner makes your hair feel really soft (granted I let it sit in my hair for a couple minutes! lol)What is the Victoria Secret So Sexy Shampoo and Conditioner like on African American hair?
I know this one person who tried it and said that they LOVED both the conditioner and shampoo. It made their hair really soft and silky. I might try it one of these days.

Will my hairdresser SHAMPOO my hair before my haircut tomorrow?

%26lt;shakes my magic 8 ball%26gt;

If you want a shampoo, ask for one. If you don't want a shampoo, then say no thank you. Will my hairdresser SHAMPOO my hair before my haircut tomorrow?
it depends on where you are going. if you are going to an upper class salon then yes she/he will. if you are going somewhere like fantastic fans or another discount place then you will have to tell them you want it shampooed and it will costs a few dollars extra.

if you are in doubt just ask the person at the front counter or ask your hairdresser. believe me, they get those kind of questions every day! Will my hairdresser SHAMPOO my hair before my haircut tomorrow?
She may, but some people do or do not. The one I go to always does before she cuts my hair. But other places I've been to, you have to pay $5 extra for them to shampoo it, so idk who cuts your hair, but they may. You can call them and ask if you want
They should, and if they don't you just ask. I have never done a haircut without shampooing first unless they ask me, it is generally included.
yes, because when hairdressers cut and style hair, they want to make sure it's clean. hair is it's longest when wet and when they cut it, it is more even.
Yes he/she should. They tend to do that before cutting because wet %26amp; cleaner hair is easier to cut with than tangled messy hair.

Answer mine please?

http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind…
Only if you want to..she will ask you if you got clean hair if you got clean hair she own´r shampoo it if you have dirty hair she will ..also she will ask you before she does anything.
My hairdresser does. If you don't want her to then tell her. But if you do want her to then tell her that also.
yes they usually do if not you can ask them but if you dont want to get it washed by them wash it b4 u get there or just tell them not to
they have too. i once took a shower befor i went and they said if they dont shampoo and if they do not condition then they can be fired. so hope that answers your questian
well it depends on where you get your haircu t, most places do wash their clients hair before they cut it so that it is clean
if you ask them too then ya they will but if you dont want them to then they will just spray your hair with water and cut it
Yes! most of the time the hair stylist wash than cut your hair but it all depends on what salon some salons are known for there dry hair cuts but most likely they will:)
They usually tend to shampoo your hair when they rinse it unless you ask them not to.
yes they need to get out the knots and make it smooth they also need to get it as long as it can go so they dont mess up
Most likely. At most salons that I go to, they wash and cut. You might want to ask, just in case, though.
it makes the hair easier to cut so yes they probably will, however it depends on what you are having done :)
yes if not you can ask her to do it
Where I go it is an extra charge to shampoo or condition.
If your asking for a wash cut and blowdry then yes she probably will. Just ask her
if you want her too...but usually they have too so they can cut it straight.
most likely unless your getting an updo...
most will if you ask them to .
It depends where you go--mine does so your might!
Usually yes! They will ask you if you want it washed, cut, styled
If you ASK for a wash, cut and blow dry then yeah obviously. Lol!
yes if you ask for shampoo and cut
If you ask him/her too, Im sure they will
only if want them too
prbly..just ask
first of all its shampoopoo and no!

NONE they are all chemicals.Whats a shampoo and conditioner that is good for your hair?
it's actually the sulfates in those that are really bad for your hair. Try switching to organic hair care products, they have less chemicals and are better for your hair. I use giovanni or burts bees. giovanni is my favorite though :)

What baby shampoo is best to try on my 14 month old daughter since her hair falls out often?

I have used Johnson %26amp; Johnson and Risitos de Oro and so far, sure it smells great and the hair if soft but it falls out a lot and well she still has a lot of hair but i'm noticing more of the fallout. What kind of baby shampoo should I use? What baby shampoo is best to try on my 14 month old daughter since her hair falls out often?
Use an organic baby shampoo which doesn't contain SLS.What baby shampoo is best to try on my 14 month old daughter since her hair falls out often?
Its not really the shampoo, keep using the J%26amp;J. Baby hair falls out and she gets more hair. Often baby hair is finer or a different color than the hair she will have later. I don't think she has a problem but if you are worried speak to her doctor.
talk to the pediatrician about the hair loss. there may be a medical cause.
DO NOT USE JOHNSON %26amp; JOHNSON ! Use Ph 5.5 shampoo
Try Suave baby shampoo. It smells good too. Good Luck!

And/or a shampoo/remedy that greatly protects from breakage. What is the best shampoo/remedy to make your thin hair l become thicker. ?
The best treatment to stop breakage is Aphogee. It smells kind of funny, but it sure does work. For thin hair you should use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. What is the best shampoo to use for colour treated hair? (mine is blonde)?

Is John Freida or that Pantene Blonde good? Or how about Bumble and Bumble? Maybe all shampoos are alike and I could get away with using any regular shampoo? Please help! What is the best shampoo to use for colour treated hair? (mine is blonde)?
The answer isnt just the shampoo!!! Correct conditioning is also the key.

Avoid all cheap store bought products as they conatin alot of waxes and fillers that coat your hair and make it dull and limp ---- it feels like your petting a wet/dirty dog.

Buy a nice hydrating shampoo from a salon and do not use a rinse out conditioner for your hair -- Opt for a spray in detangler--- I love the ';HEMPZ Spray In Detangler'; as it gently conditions, doesnt leave hair limp and lifeless and contains a UV %26amp; HEAT protectors. Heated styling tools and the SUN fade colors out badly. I have sold this HEMPZ product to all my color customers and I would have to honestly say that 75% of them have come back for more and I have noticed a dramatic change in their hair on the next color service, not only from less fadage but hair seems more healthy too. The spray is about $16.00 a bottle and lasts if you dont over use it --- about 4 - 8 sprays per use and remember to work it thru the hair for better results. What is the best shampoo to use for colour treated hair? If you try JF's products you will love them. I tried Pantene and didn't like, so I am using John Frieda for three years now.

  • A certain shampoo that will make ur hair grow?

I want my hair to grow so bad, but it just WONT and its really bugging me! Do you know of any shampoo that will make ur hair grow? My older cousin said Mane and Tail but i dont really believe it...A certain shampoo that will make ur hair grow?
Their are some shampoo's like Herbal Essences and Pantene that claim they make your hair longer, but really they help prevent breakage which helps it grow better, and in some cases quicker.A certain shampoo that will make ur hair grow?
Hair grows from the inside out, so no shampoo will make your hair grow. What will help your hair to grow is to eat healthy, take a multi vitamin or prenatal vitamin, %26amp; massage your scalp.

Also, when was the last time you had your hair cut? Maybe your hair appears to not be growing because you haven't had it cut in a while. Which can cause the split ends to keep splitting up higher %26amp; higher, making your ends dry, thin, %26amp; breaking off.
your cousin may be right ive i heard it really does if it doesnt work you can go to walmart and buy some cream and it'll make your hair grow or you can just not put it up in ponytails, blow dry it,curl it,straightenen, use hot water on it,etc....

P.S.will u answer my question no one has answered n i need some serious help if u wanna get some points answer
there is no such thing. shampoo is not made to make your hair grow. if you are really that desperate you can try to take prenatal vitamins)(sold at target or walmart) they will help a little. make sure your getting your hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks so it stays healthy so it will grow.
before using any hair grower products try to make an appointment with a trichologist first..they will help you identify which matches your hair type and scalp..some products may work for others but not with you since you might have a different hair type and scalp with them..

svenson tricologist offer a free consultation try to call them at (02)892-4247
Its not a bad shampoo but shampoo isn't going to make your hair grow longer faster. It makes a nice doggy shampoo since its animal safe I use it on my dogs fur if I bathe him myself and not the groomer or vet.
mane and tail it helped mine grew a bit form using it

Will my hairdresser SHAMPOO my hair before my haircut tomorrow?

if you ask them to, then yes.

most places (depending on their quality) charge extra for a shampoo though. not much, but a little.

so if you want them to, say i want a shampoo and cut. if not, just say you want a cut. Will my hairdresser SHAMPOO my hair before my haircut tomorrow?
Yes, they almost always shampoo first, no matter the salon, high end or supercuts, you can request a shampoo. It is not always included in the price, however. Call ahead to find out. Will my hairdresser SHAMPOO my hair before my haircut tomorrow?
probably. most of the time they wash your hair (shampoo and condition) and then while it's wet they cut it.

if you don't want them to then just say so and they wont.
Can't tell maybe, maybe not, depends on the Stylist. Either way works for a good Professional. How ever most will shampoo first, it is usually easier that way.
    Maybe

but if you want to ask and if you dont just say i dont want shampoo :)

Would ordinary hair shampoo damage car-paint?

I ran out of car shampoo the other day, and i needed to clean my car, knowing that detergents and dishwashing pastes spoils the paint, i used my hair shampoo instead, and it was great, works just like the expensive brand that i use n my car, smells good too :p I just wanna know if hair shampoos contain chemicals that may harm car-paint in long term use?Would ordinary hair shampoo damage car-paint?
There are some people who use detergents (like ivory soft soap) and hair shampoos, but most caroholics would not recommend it.

I would think that is has to do w. the PH of each product. Most car products say they have a PH of 7 which is neutral (like fresh destiled water).

Regular hair shampoos have a PH of 5 which is a little more acidic. Now, I don't don't know if that is a major difference or not.

So, I guess I would say just stick to car shampoos if one of your main concerns are paint. Plus some car shampoos are cheaper than hair shampoos.Would ordinary hair shampoo damage car-paint?
i have always used dish washing detergent... had no problems... cheaper than hair shampoo..

What kind of shampoo do you use on your babies hair?

I heard that the baby johnsons shampoo is not good to babies hair..so what kind of shampoo do you guys use?

by the way my son is 8 monthsWhat kind of shampoo do you use on your babies hair?
I have an 11 month old boy, and I use 'Curash' Shampoo on his hair..

Johnsons shampoo has never interested me, even with the 'no tears' formula. I used the body wash until he was 6 months old, but I decided to use some 'Lavender bed time' soap for his body and 'Curash' Shampoo for his hair. What kind of shampoo do you use on your babies hair?
I used the Johnson's oatmeal, but then found that her skin was drying out. So I started restricting her hairwashes to about once a week. The Johnson%26amp;Johnson oatmeal vanilla wash is still what I use and it seems fine. For the rest of her I use the Aveeno gentle wash for allergies. It doesn't have as many bubbles, and so it doesn't dry their skin out as much. But it doesn't seem to rinse out of the hair well.

    Her hair seems fine...
i did use Johnson's on my son at first but then i read the ingredients label and i was discussed with the amount of chamicals so i only use organice shamopp on my son it si called ';organic instinct'; really good stuff smells great to .. :)
I used whatever I got from my shower, including Johnson %26amp; Johnson's, Aveeno, and Huggie's. When I ran out, I just switched to my regular Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo. It's very gentle, even for her, and ecologically friendly. I only use a pea-sized amount, so I'm not really going through it any faster, plus I don't need to remember to pick up any thing extra at the store. I use a wash cloth to remove it from the front of her scalp to keep it from getting in her eyes. I also have to condition, or she gets horrible tangles. I never knew how snarly stick-straight, baby fine hair can get!
I used Johnson's first but the smell got old so I tried Huggies and that's what we've been using. The kind that is all over body wash. My son is 8 months old too and he's only went through 3 bottles of it. That tells you how much hair he has lol. What is bad about Johnson's? That's what the hospitals use...?

Try Pert Plus or just Pert....it sounds weird but it smells great and is great for that kind of hair.

If you want to spend more money....you could go to a salon and get high quality shampoo and conditioner for that kind of hair also....a good brand would be Tresa (not treseme the store brand)/Which is best shampoo for my fine thin and dry hair Quality?
Try any kind of moisturizing or volumizing shampoo/conditioner. I use Herbal Essence and it works great for me, my hair is always soft and smells great. Its still kind of thin but my curls help give it volume. If your hair is naturally straight/lanky/thin then consider a curling iron if you want it to look full for a special occasion. Also get a hair cut to get rid of the split ends!
Advanced Techniques Body Building shampoo and conditioner is great for fine thin hair. It will also moisturize your hair so it won't be so dry. You should get your split ends cut to get the best results. Hope this helps!

What shampoo or spray is best to add volume to my hair?

At the moment I use charles worthington results for shampoo and conditioner, a volume boosting spray by nicky clarke for blow drying and shockwaves volume boosting hairspray, it works well but using all these products mean I get a lot of build up, is there any single product I could use that would give me the same effect? What shampoo or spray is best to add volume to my hair?
Try Kanebo XD Shampoo, it's a bit expensive, but it's really great. It also helps against hair-loss, so you will get thicker hair after a while. It's the only shampoo that I use.

A conditioner makes the hair more ';heavy'; and if you use a good shampoo, a conditioner is unnecessary. What shampoo or spray is best to add volume to my hair?
I don't think any product works as well as just blow drying your hair with a round brush focusing a lot of heat on the root and maybe back-combing. Maybe then you would only have to use either your shampoo or perhaps the hairspray- I haven't used this exact product but I've had good results from other shockwaves products.

Hope this helped a bit xx
generally spray tends more to put hair down, because they are much heavier this way!

I would advise you a good shampoo

Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Damaged Hair?

My hair is damaged from dye, and bleach and all that stuff. What are some products that will keep my hair healthy and shiny. ;D

-Thanks ahead of time!Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Damaged Hair?
Shampoo is meant to remove dirt, sebum (a.k.a. oils), and product buildup from your hair. But there are dozens of different brands to choose from, and even more types within those brands. The same goes for conditioners. Conditioners are meant to add shine, protect hair from drying out and allow for easier combing. Here, we run down the best shampoos and conditioners for four different hair types.

Avoid conditioners that contain silicone, since they tend to strip color.

Extra tip for processed hair: Wash your hair only every few days to prevent drying out. You can use a dry shampoo or if you're blond, a talcum powder, in between washings.

You get what you pay for. If you're not willing to spend the money to buy professional products, you're not going to get professional results.

Pantene isn't ';bad'; for your hair pper-say Pantene coats your hair in oils which gives you that ';soft shine.'; It's not your hair tthat'ssoft and sshiny it's the oil.

    If you want my professional opinion. Find yourself a nice clarifying shampoo, something that is going to get rid of the oil. I am not sure of any department store brands. But if you look on the bottle it will say ';clarifying shampoo.';

I work for an Aveda salon and if I had to recommend a shampoo and conditioner, it would be Aveda's Damage Remedy. It provides your hair with moisture and protein, however do not over use it. Too much protein in your hair can also damage the hair.Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Damaged Hair?

What kind of shampoo and conditioner would be good to use when I can't use Hair One/Wen Hair system?

I love the Hair One (Wen alternative from Sally's) product line but I don't have the time to use it every morning. What would be a good shampoo and conditioner to use when I can't use Hair One?What kind of shampoo and conditioner would be good to use when I can't use Hair One/Wen Hair system?
    A conditioner (co-wash).

A moisturizing shampoo like V05 moisture milks.

A sulfate free shampoo; something organic or natural like Yes to Carrots or Giovanni.

I use Wen exclusively, but when I run out I might buy Giovanni. I also use V05 moisture milks for stuff that's hard to get out like shea butter and oil, but that's only because Wen is too expensive to wash my hair several times trying to get that stuff out.

  • Which shampoo is good for oily hair?

I have really oily hair and am planning on purchasing a new shampoo. I am currently using Herbal Essences, which is only making my hair more oily. I shower every day, sometimes twice. My hair starts to smell really bad after only about 4 hours. Can somebody help me please? XPWhich shampoo is good for oily hair?
ok, so it sounds like for you its not necicarily the shampoo that is giving ur hair oliy residue. Try using garnie frutice! I use it, and its great, beautiful smelling, and moisturing!! a trick for you might be to wash your hair once in the morning and once at night. Make sure that you are fully massaging the shampoo into your hair in order to clean the roots of your hair, where most of the oil comes from! Now, to start all this, i would go and get a fresh new haircut! They will blow it dry for you and such, and give your hair a nice clean look. The trick for you will be mantaining this look, by spending extra time on your hair by washing it, and styling it as to make it look not oily. hope this helps =]]Which shampoo is good for oily hair?
ask your hairstylist for a specific shampoo that will work good with your hair.

or you could go to a store and look through the shampoo section. Look for one with a good smell and one that is specifically for people with oily hair.
My brother had the same exact problem... Head %26amp; shoulders worked for him. I know some people say it's not good at all, but it really worked for him.

Don't wash your hair too often though. It doesn't help.
    Garnier fructis with lemon extracts

For smell why don't you use some hair spray

    Thanks.

P.S. I live in Canada (might not have some shampoo in the States), and something that's not too expensive. What shampoo should I use to get soft, healthy looking, moisturized hair?
Those bright green fluorescent bottles in the shampoo aisle. I think it's called Fructis (by Garnier). My daughter and her friends swear by it and won't use anything else! They even make a combination shampoo and conditioner in case you don't want to mess with using two separate bottles. What shampoo should I use to get soft, healthy looking, moisturized hair?
I've been using both Herbal Essences and Garnier for years and they kept my hair relatively healthy, nothing amazing. Then I tried Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship shampoo and Hello Hydration conditioner and I swear, this combination works wonders for me. Never has my hair been so nice smelling, soft and silky. :) If you want some extra oomph afterwards use a shine spray, like John Frieda or Bedhead Headrush.
Pantene Pro V is what i recommend.

They have all different types of shampoo to suit your hair type.

Like curls for curly hair, smooth for waves, natural hair, beatiful legnths and much more! you should go check it out.
i use TRESemme anti-sponge and it keeps your hair from the frizz. it also gives a good smell and it makes it shiny and soft.
aussie smoothing shampoo and 3 minute miracle conditoner!
Garnier Fructis is a good brand. I use it and it makes my hair look shinier, healthier and stronger.

How do I keep my hair really healthy even though i shampoo, blow dry, and straighten it everyday???

-Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner like herbal essences '; hello hydration '; ( blue container with green cap ) shampoo and conditioner , you can get it at wal - mart , shoppers drug mart . pretty much anywhere.

    - Towel dry your hair so that it isn't dripping wet but still wet , then put '; got 2 b crazy sleek hot iron smoothing serum '; through your hair with your fingers ( yellow triangle like bottle , spray bottle pink cap . available at walmart , shoppers , anywhere .)

    - Spray '; got 2 b shine spray on your hair , only like a spray on each side then put your head upside down and spray once underneath ( clear bottle , pink cap ( like the kind you get on body sprays ) available at wal mart , shoppers , anywhere . )

    - Blow dry your hair almost totally dry

    - Spray one spray of the '; got 2 b shine spray '; above the top of your head so that it mists over your whole head .

    - Straighten your hair however you like it

    - Spray '; herbal essences dangerously straight hairspray '; into your hands then run it through your hair with your fingers

p.s. when putting the smoothing serum in , make sure you only use a few squirts and make sure its not all in one spot .

p.s.s. when spraying the shine spray , spray away from your hair so that it just mists over the spot ... DO NOT GO CLOSE UP! it'll make your hair look greasy , try not to over top the amount i told you to use or else you'll have greasy looking hair .

p.s.s.s . make sure to get your hair trimmed at least once every 2 months .

hope i helped a bit :)How do I keep my hair really healthy even though i shampoo, blow dry, and straighten it everyday???
You can probably skip the shampoo at least every other day - just ';shampoo'; with conditioner. Massage your scalp and hair with the conditioner, then rinse and style. It freshens your hair but keeps it from getting too dry from overuse of shampoo, and you can style it the way you'd like to every morning. This is particularly good for hair that's naturally curly, I got this from the book ';Curly Girl'; which I highly recommend to those with curly hair. I found I could go a couple of weeks before I really needed to use shampoo if I did a daily hair and scalp massage with conditioner - you can experiment on your hair. I think whether or not you use styling products and the amount you use is a factor. How do I keep my hair really healthy even though i shampoo, blow dry, and straighten it everyday???
Hmm..you do that every day? Ok I have some tips for you!

Try hair vitamins from the pharmacy/online called ';biotin'; or ';hair skin and nails';.

Use a natural bristle brush, not a plastic one- they can damage your hair and tug it out.

Use a heat protection spray before straightening.

When you blow dry it, blow dry from wet to damp and let it dry naturally or if youre in a rush, blow dry from wet to dry but no MORE. Stop when it's dry and don't keep drying. Heat is damaging to hair even from hairdryers.

Use a moisturising shampoo if your hair becomes dry.

Use hot oil if youre worried your hair is becoming damaged. These come in little tubes and are really really good for hair repair.

    Hope this helps!
Well try not washing your hair for 2-3days so you reduce the use of heat on your hair. And also use a deep conditioner on your hair once a week. Also use a heat protectant spray. But ultimately the best thing to do is reduce heat damage period.
so im a dude and all and dont know much bout it.

but not washing your hair every day is the key.

cuz when i get my hair cut. there always tellin me its soft and stuff. which is why i go to the mall with the babes there;D

and i have long hair so i would know that part.
well for startes dont shampoo every day just conditon shampoo every second day or even third curly hair is not supposed to be washed everyday, put in leave in conditoner when straightening use a straightening balm to protect it from the heat ;3
go to a salon or if you have sally's near by and get a special conditioner. their are conditioning treatments you can do for your hair.

This is for G_Elizabeth. You are mistaken. You can promote hair growth by messaging your scalp at least two times a week with an hair oil, hair creme, hair dressing. Using the balls of your fingers this will help the blood circulate which stimulates the hair follicels which promotes hair growth.

Everyone does not have a set hair growth due to a hormone issue. Where do you get your facts from?
You can't make your hair grow longer and faster. Hair grows at a predetermined natural rate. Only during pregnancy will hair (and nail) growth rate change.

Using a good shampoo/conditioner can keep your hair from breaking and thus it may grow a BIT longer...but everyone has a natural set point for maximum hair length and you can't change it.

    It's a hormonal issue!
no nothink makes hair grow faster. use Condition treatmants weekly and also have trims to keep spilt ends away

Best shampoo to help get straight hair?

I naturally have wavy hair, but I flat iron it every other day. I am looking for a shampoo that will help it get straighter. Thanks!Best shampoo to help get straight hair?
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny works well, so does Redken Smooth Down. Both of these lines dont ';straighten'; the hair really, and no shampoo does, but they weigh down the hair and minimize frizz so straightening becomes easier. I used smooth down last week cuz i forgot i had some and it made my hair soooo shiny and waayy easier to straighten. and yeah im a guy too, These will help u out while straightening your hair making it easier and faster with better results. Remember to use a heat protector spray. Super Skinny has a serum that u put in your hair while its wet and blow dry or air dry and it cuts down frizz and reduces drying time by 30 percent i think it says. and if u have REALLY dry hair that doesnt get oily easy u can smooth a little more over your dry hair for more heat and damage protection.

Hope this helps and good luck!Best shampoo to help get straight hair?

Why does shampoo sometimes take two applications to lather on my hair?

I don't think that it has to do with the water because the water from my shower has been the same for a while now. Perhaps it has something to do with how oily my hair is?Why does shampoo sometimes take two applications to lather on my hair?
If your hair is very oily, the first lather is stripping the grease away. The second lather then washes the hair %26amp; will lather much easier. You should try a product specifically for oily hair; that way you get clean hair but you don't strip away too much %26amp; dry out or damage your hair. Good luck!!!Why does shampoo sometimes take two applications to lather on my hair?
well it depends on what brand of shampoo u are using as well. there are soo many different kinds of shampoo's now for all types of hair- try changing ur shampoo for another one and see how that works out for u.
    Hiya.

Are you a teenager? Somtimes teenagers hair seems to be a bit on the hastle side, although it wont last for that long. It could be a number of problems. Firstly, have you got a reliable shampoo? Some shampoos do tent to lather differently depending on your hair type. It can depend on how clean your hair is, if its very clean it will lather as not mich of the shampoo needs to be used, this produces lather. If you dont wash your hair every day and its gatherd more dirt, pollution from the air you will find it will not lather as much as most of the shampoo is being needed to clean the hair and scalp. It may be your hair, is your hair a tid oily or greasy ? If so on of these may be your probelm. With good hair and a good shampoo it wont be long before it lathers again.

Dont worry if your a teen, this hair will not last for too long x

    Hope this helped: D

    -Proffesional Haircare-
    you don't use enough shampoo.
Hi, I think it'll have something to do with how greasy your hair is. In Salons they normally do 2 shampoos, the first is to clean and the second is to lift. So the first shampoo doesn't lather unless your hair is already really clean as grease and dirt stops it from lathering.

Try Herbal Essence - None of your frizziness.

Tresemme is also a very good shampoo/conditioner.

There are also many hair straightning shampoos.

I guess you can also just use a hair straightner. What shampoo%26amp;conditioner, technique, creme, etc, can I use on my hair to stop making it wavy after a shower?
Use moisturizing shampoo and moisturizing conditioner when you shower. You can also use a moisturizing treatment that you put in your hair for a few minutes and rinse it out. While your hair is wet, put a little mousse or gel in your hair, and use a round brush when you dry your hair. Curl your hair inward with the round brush while you are drying it. This will get your hair to be straight, and shiny. You can also use a straightening iron if you don't have time to shower and dry your hair. Always use conditioner. It will help tons. Also, wash your hair every other day. The natural oils will help tons. What shampoo/conditioner do you reccomend for dry/damaged hair?
You should always use conditioner after shampooing if you have dry hair, I'd suggest Himalaya (the only shampoo that works for me). I've tried pantene, garnier, head and shoulders, herbal essences, dove and seriously, all of them did nothing but dry out my hair even more! Himalaya is the only option. i dont know what to use

but ill tell you my hair is soooo curly and dry and damaged

i dont straighten it or do anything bad to it anymore

What shampoo and conditioner do I use for greasy hair?

I have greasy hair and I also have a little bit of dandruff. I don't know if my head is just dry or something else. I really need help with my greasy hair that also has dandruff! Please please help!!!What shampoo and conditioner do I use for greasy hair?
Try Back To Basics Clarifying shampoo and conditioner. You can find it at like a beauty store at a typical mall. Good luckkk!!! :DWhat shampoo and conditioner do I use for greasy hair?
Head and shoulders is excellent =], the one for greasy hair. it leaves it grease free for a long time so you dont have to wash it as much plus is makes it soft and anti-dandruff.

    http://www.patient.co.uk/pharmacy/Head_S鈥?/a>
I suggest Head and Shoulders for dandruff they are very specific in their hair care so I am sure they have a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair! Also you could use baby shampoo.
Try using an anti dandruff shampoo at first as this might help with the grease and clear up the dandruff at the same time.
I use Vo5 sheer shine vitality. It isn't for greasy hair, But I have greasy hair at times even when I wash my hair and I make sure I wash it properly. And since I've been using that my hair has been smelling lovely, Looking cleaner, And feeling softer. I do have head %26amp; shoulders for greasy hair shampoo. But I haven't actually tried it, So when I do. I will tell you the result
    try head and shoulder
try head an sholder. I read in a magazine that if you mix baking soda in with your shampoo and conditioner that it makes your hair less greasy!
    head and shoulders work for

    dandruff

    grease

    volume

    and

    itch
after you finish washing your hair

    be sure to rinse well

take a large empty shampoo bottle

put like 1/4 of a cup of vinager in it

and fill up the rest with water

and rince ur hair with that afterwards...

then rinse out the vinager water
it doesn't really matter what shampoo you use...the bottle usually says if it is good with dandruff...but try using very little conditioner because that can easily make your hair greasy...just use a lot of moisturizing stuff for your hair...it could also be the kind of shampoo and conditioner you are using...try going out and buying a different kind...i like matrix and dove for my hair but my hair doesn't get greasy...it just stays poker straight and shinny...hope this helps!!!

My hair gets oily sometimes. I use a shampoo for it, but it is still oily. What should i do?

I wash it every night and I don't use conditaner. Still oily. Help me fix it.My hair gets oily sometimes. I use a shampoo for it, but it is still oily. What should i do?
I assume you're using a shampoo for oily hair and not one for normal hair or for dry hair. If that hasn't helped pay attention to how much you touch your hair. You probably play with it or flip it alot. Your hands contain oil too so you might want to stop that. Also put some baby powder or starch in your hair especially near the roots and then brush out, it should help quite a bit. You can also buy more expensive powders that are specially formulated to help with this problem, do a google search to find a place that sells ';powder for oily hair';.My hair gets oily sometimes. I use a shampoo for it, but it is still oily. What should i do?
that happens to me when I wash my hair at night. doing so in the morning and drying it usually helps because you're not tossing and turning on it while you're sleeping. if that's not an option rub baking soda in your hair real well in the morning or add some to your shampoo at night. it may be a product build up in your hair.
What kind of shampoo do you use??

There's this shampoo sold in hair salons.

It's called 'Purity' of 'Purify' (Cant remember) By the company Rusk... When you put it in your hair, you feel in wahing your hair if you leave it for 2 minutes or so! It's amazing!!!
Don't wash your hair every night and talk to a salon and see if they have a new chemical to dry out some of the oils.
use conditioner instead of using shampoo everyday..!

Has anyone ever used a shampoo/conditioner that really made their hair grow quicker?

Which shampoo and conditioner should I use for my highlighted hair?

Well, my hair is long. I do have some highlights.

One thing that is a bit of a problem is that my hair seems to get dirty or kind of wet looking on top after just 2 days. Is it that I don't rinse my hair well enough? Or is it that the shampoo is too heavy? Is there any kind of good shampoo %26amp; maybe conditioner that might keep my hair dry looking and smell good for 3 days max?

you should use shampoo and conditioner for colour treated hair

dont buy cheap ones get them from a salon

if they are blonde highlights get one for specific blonde hair because this will counteract the colour and stop the brassiness look.

as for hair smelling nice, my friend sprays perfume in hers!

    shh its a secret haha
as for your color, depending on what color you have theres shampoos that you can buy for it..like blond or red or whatever...and just make sure you rinse your hair really well....thats probably why it looks wet. If you dont get rid of the condition it will leave your hair oily.

Shampoo and conditioner for long hair?

I have long hair and it is normally straight. Recently the shampoo and conditioner has not been untangling my hair. Sometimes a i blow dry and others I air dry. Today does not feel like my hair is as straight and shiny today. I use Herbal essence you know the one for hair that is straight, curly, frizzy, and etc. Any suggestions on any new shampoo and conditioners I can buy?Shampoo and conditioner for long hair?
my hair is similar - it is long and straight. but some shampoos and conditioners make it go all kinky which is not attractive. i use sunsilk 'sleek and straight' or 'silky and straight' (sorry i can't remember what it is called). It is in a purple bottle. for conditioner i use loreal elvive nutri gloss in the pink bottle. it is meant to contain pearl protein or something. I keeps my hair really straight and unkinky even when i dry it naturally

    hope this helps

xShampoo and conditioner for long hair?
I have very long and stringy hair that is also fine and thin. I have been using the Matrix Biolage line for a few years now and I have been extremely happy with it. Another thing that I suggest no woman should live without is a leave-in conditioning product by Schwarzkopf called Bonacure Repair Sealed-Ends. It does so much to help fix damage done just by brushing alone.

    Good Luck
I would get something besdies herbal essense. It's not good for your hair. Try something from the salon. Or the only drug store brand that I like it Trssemme.

What is the best shampoo & conditioner for relaxed hair?

hands down no matter what relaxer you use Motions is the best shampoo. Aphogee is the best conditioner and using the Aphogee 2 step protein treatment once every few months is required for relaxed or natural hair. Aphogee is expensive and so is the Motions but your hair will thank you by thriving!

When i used it it improved my hair ALOT

Does Mane 'N Tail horse shampoo make your hair grow or make it grow fast? or does it even work at all?

I'm trying what ever remitty that I can to grow my hair, does any body know of one that perticularly works for African American hair preferabley someone who knows that it will work because they tried it for them selves or the knew a person directly who tried the remitty. No ';I heard....'; please, I need people who know for a fact. Thank YouDoes Mane 'N Tail horse shampoo make your hair grow or make it grow fast? or does it even work at all?
i am black as well, i've started taking care of my hair and visted sites like http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/ and http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/default.鈥?/a> these sites are really informative, please check them out.

anyways back to your question, mane 'n tail products usually contain protein. Now protein is essential to the hair, this helps the hair to grow stronger and longer because less breakage/damage takes place. But i must warn you, I would perhaps use another shampoo that is moisture based when using the mane 'n tail, meaning alternating between a good moisturizing shampoo one week and the mane 'n tail (protein based) the other week. OR, you could use the mane n tail and after your wash deep condtion with a good moisturizing conditioner for 30-60 mins. This is because if your hair has too much protein ( a.k.a protein overload ) your hair will become hard, dry, mushy and begin to break. If your hair is already healthy and not breaking off you don't need extra protein. It is important to balance protein and moisture in your hair..

i know this is long, but i hope it helps :)

btw i've tried the mane n tail hair strengthner , and i loved it.. but a little goes a long way.Does Mane 'N Tail horse shampoo make your hair grow or make it grow fast? or does it even work at all?
My friend used it and she thought her hair was so healthy and long- and it was, but her hair smelled horrid, so she stopped. Still try it though, it may have different results for different people.
YES YES YES i love it my hair grew and inch and a half in one month and made it 2X thicker :-D I dont rec amend anything else

Unfortunately no. Baby shampoos are just designed to be very gentle on the scalp to prevent allergic reaction and everything.

I use Tresemme products and I find they make my hair beautifully soft. Also, I get a salon treatment once a month. Will using Johnson's Baby Shampoo make my hair baby soft and adorable looking?
try creamsilk conditioner the violet one its really nice i have a long hair and helps me a lot to make my hair look more beautiful
No... because that's for babies! And that shampoo is for only babies because it's made so it doesn't itch the scalp.

Need a shampoo or conditioner to help increase hair length any ideas?

I'm trying to find a good one that can help your hair grow faster. My hair is so thick so it takes a while. My friend once said a horse like shampoo helped her hair growth faster, so I was wondering if you knew any shampoos, conditioners, and even make at home kinda hair treatment [like avocados, mayo etc]Need a shampoo or conditioner to help increase hair length any ideas?
    i have been using head and shoulders for a few months and people keep saying, ';wow your hair is getting so long!';

normally my hair takes FOREVERRRRR to grow. id try it!Need a shampoo or conditioner to help increase hair length any ideas?
Don't listen too your friend, horse shampoos are for horses, not people. Well, if it's thick i suggest getting it thinned out by a hair stylist so that way it's easier to style and will grow faster. For growing your hair very lond, i like Long Term Relationship by herbal essences. Use the shampoo and conditioner, as well as the leave inconditioner. Make sure you don't hair any broken hairs or split ends. Don't style it with heat too much, and make sure it stays moisturized, especially if you live in a colder, dryer place.

    hope i could help!

    xoxo
Unfortunately there's no real way to make your hair grow faster.

Though hair that's in bad condition does tend to grow slower that good conditioned hair, so use lots of conditioner to make your hair healthy.

Also, some people say that scalp and head massages can encourage hair to grow but I don't know if this is true.

no i don't but all u have to do is don't use any gel use grease go to the hair dresser every 2 weeks and u will see results

What is a good shampoo and conditioner to use on dry brittle hair.?

i need a good shampoo and conditioner and i was looking for advice. What is a good shampoo and conditioner to use on dry brittle hair.?
While I really only use salon shampoos and conditioners, I would definitely (and am planning on it) buy Tresemme. They have ones for heat, anti-breakage, moisture, shine, etc. They all smell great, and they come in full liter bottles for 5 a piece. I've heard great things about it. But, if you don't mind spending on a high end brand, I can't suggest Thermafuse enough to you. I have the moisture one, and I'm dead serious, it changed my hair. It's sulfate free, so it's wicked healthy. It's pricey, 19 bucks, but oh so worth it!

Hi, I'm Mal, the Editor-in-Chief of online fashion magazine, www.LaVieCherie.com.

A surprisingly good shampoo that's moderately priced is the John Frieda collection. Depending on what color hair you have, there's a specific product for you.

Get the shampoo and conditioner combo for optimum results. Your hair will drink it in and it's formulated to pop the hues of your hair color. Moisture and color: that's a winning combination if you ask us!

    Good luck,

Its works great (smells good too) my hair feels thick and looks shiny.

The shampoo bottle has a question on it and the conditioner has the answer , I think that's sooo kl lol
My suggestion is got to your local Beauty supply store. If you have a Sally's Beauty supply, I have found that at least locally they can be pretty knowledgeable.
I have found the Dove line to be fantastic. They have made my hair so much better. Tons of moisturizers but not too heavy. Really good prices too.
I use Pantene Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner and I absolutely love it! I have very long hair and it make my hair smell great and feels nice!

Which shampoo and conditioner works best when you want to grow your hair long?

My hair is at shoulder length right now, but I would like to grow it longer. Do you know what shampoo and conditioner works best to keep your hair healthy so it will grow longer?Which shampoo and conditioner works best when you want to grow your hair long?
I would say stay away from the shampoos as they are chemical based and use a natural oil like Mira hair oil, it will make hair grow faster

Other ways to increase hair growth are

Take hair vitamins like Biotin, Vitamin C, b And D

Take selium and silica to grow hair faster

Eat lots of fresh green vegetables and fruits

You need a low fat source of protein like egg whites and fish

Take some amino acid pills, hair is protein and you need lots of it if you want to know what makes hair grow

Your best bet to grow black hair is to use Mira hair oil, I can鈥檛 stress this enough, it will make your hair grow fasterWhich shampoo and conditioner works best when you want to grow your hair long?
Well Deep conditioners help your hair get healthy and pre natal vitamins work great!!!

You can also buy hair masks. Avoid flat irons, curling irons, ext. and don't play with your hair much. It makes split ends more.

Also, trim your hair every 3-4 weeks that way the split ends wont be there so your hair can keep growing instead of keep splitting.

    Hope this helps.

BreanneDoes Tail and Mane shampoo really make you hair grow fast?
    no it does not!!!!
No. Diet has a lot to do with hair health. Brushing can also help.
yes!! its one of the best products i have ever used
    NO, just another urban myth.
No. Its all about the vitemins you eat. And your hair can only grow so fast. Put it in a pony tail, the pulling from the pony tail will stimulate your hair folicules and will grow a little faster.
No. It doesn't make it grow any faster. It is actually not great for women to use on long hair, it is a little too harsh and leaves it too dry if used over a long time. They make it for horses and you should just use something that will help build hair strength so that as it grows longer it will be healthy.
no..it made my hair yucky and dull
i have heard it helps and also heard it causes yucky buildup. i have never used it myself.

What drugstore shampoo is best for thick/short hair?

that get very poofy unless i blow dry it and iron it.

its only like 2 inches long. What drugstore shampoo is best for thick/short hair?
I've always had horrible luck with Pantene, it gives my scalp horrible, horrible dandruff. I had short hair for a long time, and i've always had super thick hair. Tresseme (I think i spelt that right) has always done wonders for my hair. There's specific kinds of it you can get it as well, like for dyed hair and such. Which is what I use. What drugstore shampoo is best for thick/short hair?
Pantene Pro V or Herbal Essence always makes my hair feels soft and silky.

My opinion is Herbal Essence is the best, and I use there dangerously straight http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect鈥?/a> shampoo . My hair is naturally curly and wavy also, this shampoo does help if I just want to put some moisturizer and run the blow dry in my hair quickly. If I want my hair to be bone straight, I have to flat iron it and but a heat protector in it. Not so much shampoos, conditioners works miracles for me. If I just use shampoo only my hair is hard to comb, and style.

Can your hair fall off because of shampoo?

My hair is waist long and used to be very ';thick';. Now i am finding a lot of hair on my brush and my hair is ';thinner';. I asked my mom about it and she reminded me that shampoo makes my hair fall. I don't know if this is true or possible but if it is what can i do about it? I don't want to stop using shampoo. Can your hair fall off because of shampoo?
yeah, i'm afraid so, i also had such kind of problem before.there are several reasons, firstly, u wash your hair too frequently, and there are a lot of chemical ingredients in shampoo~ other reasons may be that you have to pay more attention to your meals~Can your hair fall off because of shampoo?
maybe the shampoo is for making thick hair into thin use pantenne %26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;sory dont no how to spell it

u should not comb it alot to though and try some vitamans for ur hair like vitaman E ok? take care of ur hair lol
    sometimes YES..

    because sometime your scalp doesnt

    suit the shampoo
no...shampoo builds strong hair. it could be the kind of shampoo u are using. Get a trim. Maybe ur hair just isnt healthy right now.
um not unless ur shampoo is like toxic or sumthing.

    what brand is it?

Why do you have to wait 24hours after using shampoo to bleach hair? I mean, what would happen if you didn't?

Because the natural oils help it not getting as damaged. Why do you have to wait 24hours after using shampoo to bleach hair? I mean, what would happen if you didn't?
If you shampoo your hair after bleaching it will dry out and damage your hair, also an itchy scalp because of the terrible chemicals the bleach contains. Why do you have to wait 24hours after using shampoo to bleach hair? I mean, what would happen if you didn't?
Number one because your hair needs the natural oils so that its not as damaged by the bleach- like the other people on here have said. And number two because the shampoo that you use may have some kind of a chemical reaction with the shampoo or conditioner or hair products that you use and could give you a chemical burn on your scalp... But most of the time i think the bleaching stuff that hair dressers use is mild enough it wont do that.
It wont damage your hair, but the bleach will make it so your hair is more red than white, or off white.
The natural oils in your hair protect the hair from harsh bleaching. Not much would happen if you washed your hair before, but you would likely have a burning scalp (from brushing, scratching, and irritation) if the bleach touches it.
I've never heard of that...I shampoo my hair and then go to the hair dressers and she bleaches my hair and I've never had any problems...

Try using 'Easy straight' by Haime Munoz, you use when drying your hair, it's supposed to give a flat iron finish. You should be able to get it from Priceline.Does anybody know of a shampoo or conditioner that will make my hair straight?

you can get these products and any supermarket.

    goodluck :)
    Try Sunsilk Shampoo %26amp; conditioner.
Me too, I use sunsilk in the purple bottle for wavy hair.
biosense works really well, but you can only buy it in salons
    Hi:)

*Okay heres my best advice* purchase either Fredrick Fekaii's Technician Shampoo and Conditioner or

for cheaper use Marc Anthony True Professional Simply Straight, Instant Straightening Shampoo Frizz Smoothing Conditioner and afterwards without the use of a CHI iron, use CHI silk infusion rub a small amount in damp hair and blow dry with a round brush. Your hair will be straight!
